Yesterday I attended The Times CEO Summit, sponsored by ServiceNow, together with over 100 business leaders to discuss how we tackle some of the UK’s most pressing challenges—skills, investment, and the real-world application of AI.   What stood out wasn’t just the scale of innovation needed, but the urgency for implementation. What became clear throughout the day is that #AI is no longer optional, it’s becoming foundational to how organisations operate and evolve.    But there's a difference between adoption and impact. Rather than chasing AI for AI’s sake, we need to reframe the conversation- it’s a mindset shift. From optimisation to empathy, from faster to fairer. That’s the kind of transformation that will truly last.

Fantastic talk from Carl Cookson & James Connelly at UK Dynamics 365 & Power Platform User Groups meeting today, on how to navigate adoption of the Power Platform in business large and small. I wholeheartedly agree that the path forward is bringing people from the organisations in on the journey early on and enabling people to solve problems and be creative (as long as it’s not unattended and in production environments ⚠️) Fitting the tools around the problems and not the other way around was also a very key point in this talk!

After 6 years in Managed Services, our Senior Data Engineer, George Dutton, took on his first greenfield project, building a central HR solution in Microsoft Fabric. In his three-month secondment, George tackled the challenges of delivering something from scratch, working closely with the client, and picking up lessons that apply far beyond data engineering.
