Our 6,000 attendees packed the ExCel centre to hear our Chairman and CEO Satya Nadella deliver his keynote about building the UK’s #AI frontier. Satya featured several UK success stories, from our NHS Dragon Copilot trial in Manchester University NHS Foundation Trust, to Welsh Councils using Microsoft AI to offer better services to residents. And Satya announced important new capabilities across Microsoft Sovereign Cloud to give customers greater local control over their workloads and AI models. In my keynote, it was a pleasure to highlight more UK frontier firms, such as HSBC, Arup, Balfour Beatty plc, Mott MacDonald, LSEG, Barclays, and Nationwide Building Society, to name but a few, who are embedding AI into their operations and “bending the curve on innovation”. It was fantastic to introduce Deputy Prime Minister David Lammy, as he laid out his vision for an AI-enabled justice system that is fairer for all and more efficient. And to meet former Primer Minister Rishi Sunak to discuss all things AI in front of more than 130 UK CEOs. I loved seeing the Mercedes-AMG PETRONAS Formula One Team car on display following our recent partnership announcement, along with The Premier League trophy, and to speak to so many customers and partners about their AI transformation journeys. It was an action-packed day, with tech demos, workshops, hackathons and roundtables, and the optimism and buzz were infectious.
