main project was the mind the word chrome extension. improved it using manifest v3 and react - enhanced ui components, optimised frontend logic, reduced unnecessary api calls.
continued to contribute ui and functional upgrades across other AOSSIE projects. dashboard design proposals, api logic fixes, the usual. -

Frontend work involves more math than people expect. A few small tools that save time: Aspect ratio calculator: https://lnkd.in/duri6ery Font size calculator: https://lnkd.in/dVEm-YEy SVG to Data URI: https://lnkd.in/di6929Ba Tiny utilities, but they reduce mistakes in responsive layouts.

🔥 Top React Mistakes That Cause Rejection 🔥 (Avoid these if you want selection) 1️⃣ Not understanding re-renders Saying “React is fast” without explaining why. 👉 Interviewers expect you to know when and why components re-render. 2️⃣ Overusing state Putting everything in state—even constants. 👉 More state = more re-renders = messy logic. 3️⃣ Modifying state directly Doing state.push() or state.value = x. 👉 React relies on immutability to detect changes. 4️⃣ Misusing useEffect Wrong dependency array or missing dependencies. 👉 This causes bugs, infinite loops, or stale data. 5️⃣ Using Context for everything Context is not Redux. 👉 Overusing Context can cause unnecessary re-renders. 6️⃣ Not knowing when to use Redux Using Redux for small apps OR Avoiding Redux in complex apps. 👉 Wrong tool choice shows weak architecture thinking. 7️⃣ Forgetting key in lists Or using index as key blindly. 👉 Leads to UI bugs and performance issues. 8️⃣ Calling APIs directly inside render logic Side effects should live in useEffect, not render. 👉 This is a big red flag in interviews. 9️⃣ Not handling loading & error states Only showing success UI. 👉 Real apps must handle all states. 🔟 Memorizing React instead of explaining it Giving definitions without real examples. 👉 Interviews test understanding, not syntax. 💡 Most rejections happen due to bad fundamentals, not lack of features. 💪 One goal – SELECTION 👉 Tap ❤️ for more

Should we NEVER use non-logical properties? https://lnkd.in/gDcB7XeX (https://lnkd.in/gDwFMBBj) CSS has “logical properties” which have the unique ability to follow the flow of language. You might be working on an website in English, which is left-to-right and top-to-bottom, but other languages might flip either or both of those. In English, we know what margin-right does, but can quickly become the wrong choice if the direction of a web page is flipped, perhaps during translation. Just spent my morning revisiting Node.js fundamentals, and blimey, I'd forgotten how brilliantly efficient it is! 🚀 For the non-techies: Node.js is what happens when JavaScript escapes your browser and starts powering your servers. It's asynchronous (doesn't wait around), event-driven, and ridiculously fast. What I love about Node: 1. It's perfect for small businesses who need scalable solutions without enterprise budgets 2. The NPM ecosystem is massive - there's a package for practically everything 3. Express.js makes building APIs and web services dead simple I've seen startups completely transform their backend performance just by switching to Node. One of my clients cut response times by 40% without changing their hardware at all. Are you using Node.js in your business? Or are you curious but haven't taken the plunge? Drop me a DM - I'm working on some starter templates that might save you hours of setup faff. I promise not to bore you with technical jargon (unless you explicitly ask for it 😉). #NodeJS #WebDevelopment #TechTips #SmallBusinessTech https://lnkd.in/eaEFBZsB
