Didn’t get it in Europe anyway (seems to have become the place to not buy new Apple stuff, not only price hikes but also lack of features - the fact that they still couldn’t figure out a solution for iPhone screen mirroring is just lazy)

Bought a couple although a third is still on back order. But I haven’t gotten the actual headset yet; waiting for a sale. Hope they’ll patch that problem with hissing so many reviewers talked about.
The hissing is unacceptable for the price of the headphones. 😡

I returned mine after 13 days because of this. However I kept the 4 extra cushion sets I bought. I will rebut the headsets if either of the following happens:
1. Apple resolves the hiss
2. Price drops by 40-50%

Other than that, they were perfect for my two daily 60min walk. I sweat less and if I do, the sweat is absorbed by the cups rather than run down my next. Most importantly, it was super fun changing the cushions every day.

I think the hiss might be hardware related. If enough athletes don't want to ear the headphones because of it, apple will be forced to fix it. I have owned 3 other headphones/earbuds with noise cancellation and none had any hiss whatsoever regardless of listening mode.

Did you have the chance to try the two different materials of the cups? Which one is the most comfortable, transpiring, fresh? The fabric ones?

Having officially replaceable cups is a great plus because most headphones (including beats) die because of the cups disintegrating or staining our ears…

The cushions are awesome. I even washed them with my clothes and they came out looking brand new.

Leather cushions feel more plush and improve the sound a bit. That’s the compromise. Overall I wouldn’t say the sound quality justifies the price. You are paying a premium for interchangeable cushions - like someone paying a premium for a convertible car over a practical suv.

Therefore if you don’t need breathable sweat proof cushions then buy other headphones. Alternatively own the beats along side something like anker q20i.
