Apple keeping the starting price at $999 from the iPhone X through to the iPhone 16 Pro feels like ancient history with the iPhone 18 Pro rumored to start at $1,299 or $1,399.
Apple's Back to School offer has launched as late as July 23, 2015, so there is still a chance that it is coming this year. Waiting an extra 4-6 weeks longer than recent years gives customers more time to digest the price increases. The offer would seem a bit less "gee, thanks."
