My wallet is ready. Bring on the home hub, cameras (although I doubt they’ll brand their own cameras), and other smart home devices.

I was at our Costco tmobile kiosk yesterday getting my iPhone 18 Pro set up and the guy was telling me how Apple does this when they get anything Apple wise and their boxes state “do not open” and how anal they are about it, I was like “yep not surprised lol”.

After over a year of false Gurman rumours Ted Lasso would be proud of me because I'm now finally beginning to believe.

I've been waiting to get my first ever HomePod and my first ever Apple TV for over a year now so this really cannot come soon enough for me.

Just realize that the next day the advertising "stuff" looks like last week's newspaper at the bottom the bird cage.

Surprised to hear this. Was expecting an event to unveil the new home products along with iMac and MacBooks. With stores getting ready and no rumors about an event, it looks like it will be a newsroom release. But with a major new release like home hub, it will be surprising if Apple does not hold an event. Maybe Macs will get an event in November.

Is there a big shiny red button on top that causes it to spring open with confetti?

Did they also sit down the retail employees in front of a marshmallow and walk out of the room to see if they would eat it?

I believe they will most likely be marketing materials for the IPhone Duo since that is one of the headlines of recent event. I do not think it will be for the rumored upgrades of the Apple TV, HomeHub or HomePods.

This is like the olden days of rumours, hype-factor 7.

But it probably is just marketing materials for iPhone Duo – I mean, Apple must know there's always that one person who takes a peek at their presents early, so 'Do Not Open' instructions would be insufficient for a whole new product line…

I don't see the point of this. We already know what products are inside of them. And you can't rip open the product boxes either.
Never underestimate the power of a bitter employee - or someone looking for social media engagement.

I'm willing to bet there will be photos of the new Home hub online before the Apple event.

Apple retail stores received confidential boxes earlier this week featuring "Do Not Open Until October 8" stickers on them
For one time I saw a parcel shipping to a Subway store has a sticker says "Do Not Open Until (That Friday)" at a mail sorting centre. And that's a box of promotion materials.
