Apple is preparing new displays and large numbers of demo units for the iPhone Duo's October 23 launch, but supply will be limited, according to Bloomberg's Mark Gurman.

That hinge looked pretty stout to me.Durability worries me 100x more than even the crease.
I think I know why "supplies will be limited".
Sears used to do this as well.Supply will be limited. Same old song and dance from Apple...

I think this helps to put into context, similar to the iPhone mini, that even a "meh" performing product for Apple would be considered a great seller by many companies. It’s estimated that they will be making 6-8 million Duos this year
Presumably the stores will also receive a generous supply of cover layer replacements for the demo devices. It will be interesting to see how the display models fare from being handled/folded all day.
150 demo units for one store, and therefore supplies will be limited. 😉150 demo units for one store, but supplies are limited.
How does that add up?
Haha! I know right? With only 6 million being made worldwide this must mean that after all stores have the units on display that only 3.5 million will be available to customers 💀. Yes I’m exaggerating the numbers but still. 😂150 demo units for one store, but supplies are limited.
How does that add up?
Not always. Supply on their Vision Pro was also limited, and they couldn’t give them away. Based on convo’s with Apple Store employees, out of a hundred people that demoed them, maybe one actually purchased. I expect it to be the same here because two grand is ridiculous for what this thing actually does.Throw limited supply on something and people will go out to buy it instantly. FOMO is real
And… no one is better at managing the narrative, creating FOMO than Apple.Throw limited supply on something and people will go out to buy it instantly. FOMO is real
Do you know how many phones Apple sells vs how many physical storefronts they have?150 demo units for one store, but supplies are limited.
How does that add up?
