Burnout isn’t laziness. Sometimes, you care so much that you can’t stop 𝐞𝐯𝐞𝐧 𝐰𝐡𝐞𝐧 𝐲𝐨𝐮’𝐫𝐞 𝐝𝐫𝐨𝐰𝐧𝐢𝐧𝐠. Burnout also thrives in silence. As Jodi Kovitz, CEO of HRPA, shares in her Toronto Star op-ed: ✅ The people most at risk are high performers who say yes to everything  ✅ Midnight emails and “hustle” signals from leaders do more damage than a lack of perks  ✅ The most powerful check-in a manager can make is “Do you have the capacity for this right now?” And the data shows that over 𝟖𝟎% of workers under 34 experience burnout, compared to 𝟒𝟗% of those 55+. That generational gap means leaders can’t treat this as a one-size-fits-all problem. The takeaway? Preventing burnout extends beyond adding perks.
