While I don't endorse profanity, here's why this works 😅 When you adopt a "F*** it" strategy throughout the interview you're relaxed, you're in playful mode, your true you shows ☀️ In other words, you're something called...AUTHENTIC. And THAT attracts employer. Remember the last time you didn't really care about a job? Or a company? After that interview, they came chasing you with an offer THAT is exactly what I am referring to. On the contrary, when you're attached to passing the interview... you're tight, cautious, stressed. That's what you pass to the interviewer. 🥺 These are BEINGs hardly anyone wants to hire. And despite thinking you aced it, you still get passed over. It wasn't about your credentials. It was about who showed up. Think about it. Every time you walked in not needing it? That's when they wanted you.

Coach Moe shared thisThe Question Almost No One Can Answer https://lnkd.in/e_suAe6V “It starts as a simple question, but the longer it lingers, the more uncomfortable it becomes…” I fell in love with this, because without a *personal pitch*… you’re toast in the job hunt. (And no. Not the laundry list, mixed with show-off kind :)) You know how many professionals - young and old, junior, senior, and even director level - don’t have a proper personal pitch?! Don’t get me wrong, You’ll eventually get a job, but the journey will be unnecessarily long, because people want to know WHO you are, and in that, find WHAT draws them to you and connects them with you. They read what you did, in your resume and/or LinkedIn profile the “machine” you’ve become, with all the fancy features. And if they do bring you in for an interview, they are hoping to meet the Human, not the machine. Sometimes that human side is absent, and you have no clue why you didn’t proceed to the next round… or why you never got the offer… Simply because: People hire people, not machines. At my job hunt coaching practice, it is all about people-to-people connection. I first show others WHO you are, primarily. Build mutual value, an emotional match. Then, your “machine” complements that. And guess what? At that point, even if your machine is not perfect, they still do their best to hire you. (Tried, tested, and proven. I have the evidence!)

I know it's a bold take from someone with 25 years in technology. If anyone should be hyping AI, it's me. But here's why. Look at the screenshot I took this morning. iOS introduced a feature that identifies unknown callers. It labeled this one: **Robber*** Would I pick up? Obviously not. But here's the real question... Does the caller know how they're being seen? Absolutely not. AI is a tool, just like a knife. You can peel an orange with it. You can also do serious damage with it. The knife doesn't decide. You do. 𝗔𝗻𝗱 𝗼𝗻𝗲 𝘁𝗵𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗮𝗯𝗼𝘂𝘁 𝘁𝗼𝗱𝗮𝘆'𝘀 𝗔𝗜, 𝗶𝘁 𝗰𝗼𝘂𝗹𝗱 𝗺𝗶𝘀𝗹𝗲𝗮𝗱 𝘆𝗼𝘂. 𝗔𝗻𝗱 𝗶𝘁 𝗱𝗼𝗲𝘀 𝘀𝗼...𝗰𝗼𝗻𝘃𝗶𝗻𝗰𝗶𝗻𝗴𝗹𝘆. You only catch it when you're already an expert in what you're asking it to do. 𝗜𝗻 𝗷𝗼𝗯 𝗵𝘂𝗻𝘁𝗶𝗻𝗴, 𝘁𝗵𝗶𝘀 𝗶𝘀 𝗱𝗮𝗻𝗴𝗲𝗿𝗼𝘂𝘀. AI writes your resume. Applies for you May polish your LinkedIn. But it cannot build your positioning, read a room, or negotiate your worth. I also got to talk to other exhibitors from the UAE as well as Oman. Our heartfelt thanks to the organizers for giving us this opportunity! Today I also met my old friends Dr. Tamara Savelyeva and Dr. Jae PARK --great to see you both, always. Dr. Mohammad Fteiha, PFHEA, it is always a great pleasure to meet you at events. I will always associate Al Ain with your hospitality and conferences! Another personal highlight for me--our stand was right next to the Al Ain Zoo booth and I finally had the courage to pet one of the snakes. That was truly special, given my snake phobia 😄.

This training was aligned with our organizations's efforts in a patient-centered care and safety culture. I am honored to author and present this important topic to trainees in such a great national leading organisation. HMC is acknoledged as the biggest employer in Qatar with over 37,000 employees. The conducted training was highly engaging, with rich discussions, practical activities, and real workplace examples that explored the difference between IQ and EQ, self-awareness, emotional regulation, empathy, and effective communication. Participants actively exchanged ideas, shared experiences, and practiced models that support better teamwork, respectful responses, and stronger professional relationships in our daily work environment. EQ Reflection: “IQ may shape what we know, but emotional intelligence shapes how we understand our emotions, manage and express them, recognize emotions in others, and choose responses\actions that build and maintain effective relationships at workplace.
