I love Canadian Public Relations Society! ♥️🥳 Hosting the welcome mixer for the national conference in St. Andrews with Porter O'Brien was such a great time and particularly special to welcome public relations professionals from across the country to the beautiful New Brunswick I call home. This community has played a huge role in shaping who I am as a public relations professional, from friendships and mentors to continuous learning in an ever-evolving industry. Public relations people are also famously fun (the party planners of every organization 🎉). Proud to be one of them!

Great connecting with colleagues and learning from communications leaders from across the country at the Canadian Public Relations Society National Conference in New Brunswick this week. Important conversations focused on #AI governance, trust, reputation management, strategic storytelling, podcasting, and the evolving role of communications professionals as meaning makers within organizations. One key takeaway for me was the importance of transparency, ethics, and thoughtful leadership as organizations continue navigating AI adoption. Thank you to the speakers, panelists, organizers, and volunteers for a valuable and engaging Conference experience. Looking forward to continuing the conversations and bringing these reflections into our work. #Elevate2026

It was a fantastic few days at #Elevate2026 hosted by the Canadian Public Relations Society, where leaders and #communicators exchanged and learned amidst delightful east coast hospitality. Congratulations to this year's award winners, newly accredited members, and latest inductees to the College of Fellows! I had the privilege of speaking about ACCES Employment and navigating change, particularly as the #workforce is shrinking and #skills gaps are widening. I also appreciated hearing from many experts including Althia Raj, Heather Hiscox, Taylor Owen, Chad Rogers, Erin Brandt Filliter, M.A., A.P.R. Kim Blanchette, MCPRS, APR, Chart.PR, Fellow CPRS, Joel Richardson and numerous McMaster University Master of Communications Management alumni, too many to count! A key takeaway is clear: for modern leaders, responsiveness, agility, and future-readiness - particularly when navigating #AI - are non-negotiable. To borrow from Dr. Bailey Parnell, this environment presents a critical opportunity for leaders to operate as meaning-makers and trust-brokers.
