Android 17's new iOS migration tool now available on Samsung's latest foldables
Google announced an upgraded Android Switch iOS migration tool for Android 17 during the Android Show I/O Edition 2026. The company has now offered new details about the feature and its availability.
The enhanced Android Switch tool is now available on the newly launched Samsung Galaxy Z Fold8, Galaxy Z Fold8 Ultra, and Galaxy Z Flip8.
It is also rolling out to the Pixel 8, Pixel 9, and Pixel 10 series running Android 17. However, Pixel 6 and Pixel 7 series users will not receive the upgraded iOS migration tool. Google added that support for more Android devices will be introduced in the coming months.
The upgraded Android Switch can transfer a wide range of data from an iPhone, including your Google Account, passwords and passkeys, app data, Wi-Fi credentials, alarms, device settings, home screen layout, iMessage history, Voice Memos, eSIMs, WhatsApp chat history, and more.
