have it no for a few months. Display is stunning but could use less brightness in dark mode. Battery sucks, should be able to double it, so easy reaching a day of USA. No sim. No nfc. Too much money for this device.

hello, 14 Feb 2026is the Redmagic astra still worth getting on feb 2026 i am afraid if i get this now maybe two... moreI also want to buy one but im also waiting till September or October maybe a new one comes out just incase i got friends that have this tablet and its goated for streaming and everything recording and all those (if u do any of these ) or even if u just play for fun .but if u got money just buy it then u can decide urself if a new one comes out

Ico TM, 17 Oct 2025It has an official Google store, and you can watch Netflix in Full HD on it.It unfortunately is a very bad streaming device because there is no HDR or Dolby Vision support. Screen is HDR capable but there is no certifcation for it whatsoever do HDR never worka. What a pity for such screen.

hello, 14 Feb 2026is the Redmagic astra still worth getting on feb 2026 i am afraid if i get this now maybe two... moreno need to worry about processor 8 elite or gen 5 doesnt matter in game when games has limit like 120,144 fps but red magic has own red core chip too which is makes game more stable fps

I need a small but powerful 8" tablet, either this one or the Lenovo Legion Tab, that I can use as a makeshift computer that I can plug into a bigger screen and use it for office work and let me bypass the battery as much as possible if it's going to be plugged for hours at a time.

Will it work as a companion device f... moreMost of Android device has Google Services, the only brand that doesn't supported Google was Huawei I think. So yeah you can use a WhatsApp for this tablet, but however it doesn't have a physical slot for simcard tray nor an SD card slot.
It's just better to look for alt tablet like an iPad mini (2024) if you're looking for small form factor tablet or if you had more budget better get a foldable tablet like Samsung Galaxy Z Fold or alternative.

RedMagic could be the brand that gives Lenovo a run for their money if they play their cards right. They need to add the microsd slot for the 2026 model because Lenovo brought it back for the 2025 China-only model (Y700 Gen 4). Legion Tab 3 is last year's China model, no microsd slot.
Anyone know if the Astra has charge separation like the RedMagic phones? Cause if so then I might just go for this instead.
