vivo X300 Ultra’s ultrawide camera specs revealed

vivo has been slowly unveiling details about the upcoming X300 Ultra, sharing new information about the phone every other day. The company recently shared information about the phone’s main rear camera and telephoto unit, and the latest teaser now highlights its ultrawide camera.

Han Boxiao, vivo’s Product Manager, has shared an image revealing the internal layout of the X300 Ultra’s rear camera system, confirming that the phone will feature a 50MP ultrawide camera.

The ultrawide unit uses the Sony LYTIA-818 sensor that offers a large 1/1.28-inch sensor size. It is also said to deliver improved video stabilization. According to Boxiao, the ultrawide camera is rated for CIPA 6.0 stabilization, an upgrade over last year’s CIPA 5.0 standard. This should also help improve low-light performance.

In the image shared by Boxiao, a fourth sensor can be seen concealed behind an emoji. While the vivo executive didn’t reveal any details about it, he did note that the sensor will enhance the phone’s color capabilities. This suggests the hidden unit could be the rumored 5MP multispectral camera.

The vivo X300 Ultra is expected to launch in China later this month and could also make its global debut around the same time. The phone is rumored to be powered by Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5 SoC and may pack a large 7,000mAh battery.
