Samsung Galaxy Watch9 and Watch Ultra 2 full specs and pricing leak
Samsung is set to host its Galaxy Unpacked event in London later today, where it is expected to unveil its next-generation foldables alongside the Galaxy Watch9 and Galaxy Watch Ultra 2. Ahead of the launch, the complete specs and pricing of the upcoming smartwatches have leaked.
As per the leak, the Galaxy Watch9 and the Watch Ultra 2 will be powered by the Snapdragon Wear Elite chipset, paired with 2GB of RAM. The Galaxy Watch9 is said to offer 32GB of onboard storage, while the Watch Ultra 2 could come with 64GB of storage.
The Galaxy Watch Ultra 2 is tipped to feature a 1.52-inch AMOLED display with a peak brightness of up to 5,000 nits.
Meanwhile, the Galaxy Watch9 will be available in two case sizes, with the 40mm variant offering a 1.34-inch screen and the 44mm sporting a 1.47-inch display, both with up to 3,000 nits of peak brightness. Both the Watch9 and Ultra 2 are said to use sapphire crystal protection.
The Galaxy Watch Ultra 2 is tipped to pack an 800mAh battery, while the 40mm and 44mm Galaxy Watch9 models are said to house 390mAh and 445mAh batteries, respectively. Both smartwatches are expected to support WPC-based fast wireless charging.
Additionally, the leak suggests that the upcoming Galaxy smartwatches will feature Samsung's BioActive sensor, along with a temperature sensor, barometer, and geomagnetic sensor.
On the software front, the Galaxy Watch9 series and the Galaxy Watch Ultra 2 are said to ship with Wear OS 7-based One UI 9 Watch. Connectivity options are tipped to include LTE, Bluetooth 6.0, dual-band Wi-Fi, NFC, and GPS.
Lastly, the Galaxy Watch9 is tipped to carry IP68 and 5ATM ratings for dust and water resistance, while the Galaxy Watch Ultra 2 is said to offer higher IP69K and 10ATM+ ratings.

As for pricing, the 40mm Galaxy Watch9 with Bluetooth is tipped to cost €409, while the LTE variant could be priced at €459. The 44mm Bluetooth model is said to carry a price tag of €439, with its LTE counterpart reportedly costing €489.
The Galaxy Watch Ultra 2, meanwhile, will be available only in an LTE variant and is tipped to launch at €749.
