It's not actually that much wider than the Z8 Ultra. It's a decent foldable but not that different to what Samsung already offers. Just less black bars when playing videos because it's shorter.

If this phone lasts longer in some test than one with bigger battery then It's because Samsung phone consumes less energy and not because of some battery mastery.

But in real world, sales are increasing year on year, with 21 million units sold just last year.
Considering how expensive foldables are, I wouldn't expect people to upgrade to a newer model often, which means that since 2023 there are around 60 million foldable phone users who would disagree with you. But keep yapping 🤭

Expected much worse battery life for that size.
Not bad considering how large the battery is.

Why all these new phones have so poor video quality? Like seriously check videos from 2019 and the newest its really blurry at 4k looks like upscaled from 1080p or even 900p

Battery life has significantly improved over the Z7. It's still early but this seems consistent with other reviews, with the exception of Loveroftech. In his two reviews, the Z8 & Ultra was marginally better than the prior two generations and the Z8U took a noticeable loss to the Honor. Strange to see Honor come up short in GSM's test vs. the Razr Fold and Oppo N6.
Anyhow, this is a good showing by Samsung's 1st gen "we don't want to call it a silicon carbon" battery. Comparatively speaking, Honor's 1st gen 5000 mah si/c phone didn't come anywhere near these numbers and Oppo's 1st 5600 mah si/c battery also fell short.
Although Samsung is late to the game, SDI has been working with silicon carbon material far longer than any of these other manufacturers so I think we will see that mastery of the technology and they will be able to achieve more with less capacities.

The form factor is great, to my eyes the best yet. Just an inch or so short from being a powerhouse even folded and a proper tablet replacement while unfolded

I love how Samsung keeps shutting down those yapping too much about battery size and charging speeds. Foldable with much larger batteries barely last any longer and despite the charging speed being about half of those, charging to full doesn't take that much longer. They are lucky Samsung didn't jump on the Si/C train yet, at least not on the high capacity one, or they'd stand no chance at all

I tried more than 14 days, Gen 5 SoC is really too hot to play 3D games.

After 8 years of foldables/flips only 1% of the population uses them it's obvious that the market doesn't want them this phone will be a flop and so will the banana phone 😉

I swear I've seen reviewers talk about Silicon Carbon battery in the Z Fold8.
