I didn't mention any real camera and I even praised the nice chroma aberrations on some photos. 😊
But if you want to go there again, yes, the phone obviously doesn't offer anything more than the very same manufacturer's own X300/FE/Pro or the older X200, X100 (feel free to go a couple generations further) and it's basically a scam for bragging rights.
If someone wants more camera, they should buy a camera that makes a difference with the money saved. I recommend used to get way more bang for buck, it can be basically for free.
Or go on a nice 1000 € trip with the X300/FE/Pro or 2000 € trip with their older e.g. X100 and make a ton of nice photos of exactly equal quality as the X300 Ultra does instead of looking at pictures of nothing to try and find a pixel more of detail.

P.S. Any person who doesn't mind using common sense would notice that I'm not any hater if I recommend vivo phones over a vivo phone, but there are some very unusual people on the internet. 🤷♂️

However, the reason I compared it to the IQOO in my example is coz both the IQOO 15 and this Vivo X300 Ultra run on the same Origin OS.
And I don't have the X300 Ultra to compare it to my son's IQOO 15, which is why I compared it using Gsmarena's battery test results so that there's a level playing field due to standardization.

An interchangeable lens system with some lenses requires a bag. The question is do you want to bring your bag anywhere you go? If yes, sure, go ahead get the camera. If not, not a single dedicated camera, not even a compact fixed lens ones like Fujifilm X100 nor Ricoh GR could beat phone's versatility as they only offer single focal length.

If anyone doesn't mind the weight and hassle of taking an extra camera with them, they're free to do so. Anyone who goes out and just wants to take a phone with them that can take pictures of similar quality as a dedicated camera will be looking at something like this Vivo.

What truly matters is the sensors and they are great in this one, since its Android i just can install whatever camera app i want to achieve whatever processing

The battery life of the Xiaomi 17 ultra is not as good as the Xiaomi 17 pro max, the battery life of the Oppo find x9 ultra is not as good as the OPPO find x9 pro. The battery life of the Vivo x300 ultra is not as good as the IQOO 15 for example. You don't get the best battery life in ultra phone as all these brands have phones with better battery life. That's a simple fact. Nothing ignorant about that. The main focus is cameras. Or do you dispute that?

You can always use manual mode to get the desired look.
These are camera powerhouses, you simply can't be judging based on samples shot in auto mode.

Gsmarena don't do their own battery life tests as such. They just use third party software to test the battery. There is a guy in China that buys at least two sets of most every phone and runs and reruns battery tests almost every.time there are new software updates. In his tests there is just a 2 minute difference gap between the Chinese Xiaomi 17 ultra with 6800mAh and the Vivo x300 ultra with 6600 mAh. Both are significantly worse than the IQOO15 that you mentioned though. He hasn't tested the OPPO find x9 ultra yet though as that is the most recent launch. Generally though Colour OS flagships are doing quite a bit better than Origin OS and Hyper OS ones in nearly all Chinese battery tests. Battery life though is certainly not the strongest suit of any of the ultras from Xiaomi, avivo.or OPPO. They are ultra for cameras and screen quality buy have to make sacrifices in other areas due to space constraints. For example all of these brands have other phones in their lineup with better speakers, haptics, battery life and better ergonomics.

At this phone, camera is just expensive toy for show off unless you go over 2k usd++ criteria

Battery life is underwhelming compared to other Chinese Ultra phones.
Is it because of Origin OS? or some optimization issue?
My son's IQOO 15 provides great battery life (above 20hr according to Gsmarena's test) with a slightly bigger 400mah cell.

Seriously, what is the deal with Vivo and poor battery life given the battery capacity? S26 Ultra is better with a significantly smaller battery and X9S Ultra dominates it. Origin OS needs some serious optimization.
