Great value for money. If they made a 6.3" variant along this Ultra, it would've been a day one order for me even for the exact same price of this Ultra.
Estiqaatsi, 12 Nov 2025There's actually pretty hefty discounts for many european countries on the official nubia... moreThat's incredible value. You actually got it cheaper than it is in China which is amazing considering in Europe VAT is around the 20% mark in most countries. In China the 16gb 512gb version is 5,299rmb (around 643 euro).
Why do daylight photos have such high ISO settings?
It's literally losing quality without any reason at all
The same happens with the low-light photos... The ISO is too high with a shutter speed that is too fast for low light situations
The sample photos could have been much better if the camera app didn't opt for these strange settings.
They aren't using any Ai upscaling for the photo's it seems, or the Ai is very lightweight, for a 70mm zoom lens I would have expected sharper images. The OnePlus 13 at the same focal point produces much better zoom pics with it's 73mm cam, but that's because of the aggressive Ai hybrid crop superzoom feature that all other phones have nowadays, which is a good idea on zoom cams since it produces usable pics even up to 40x or 50x. The Nubia though isn't keeping up above 100mm despite having similar hardware, photo's look more natural instead of the artificial Ai oil painting gimmick on other phones, but I'd rather have that unnatural oil painting look than grainy blurry unusable zoom pics.
jiyen235, 11 Nov 2025the beautiful aperture uplift and macro capabilities more than make up for it imo. I perso... moreTechnically telephoto has 2x zoom, because main camera is 35mm. It's more accurate to talk about focal length equivalents than zoom levels.
This is incredible value. The specs are insane for the price. Never thought I'd see anyone beat Poco for value for money and yet here it is. Even with no software updates, you could keep this for 2-3 years, then upgrade to whatever the newest Nubia there is at the time and still have change in your pocket left over compared to Apple, Samsung, and nowadays Oppo and OnePlus also.
650 in EU is very nice for everything it offer, but I can't even tolerate Xiaomi's UI, so "we'd very much prefer the Xiaomi's software." This does scare me A LOT!
Aierlan, 12 Nov 2025If the €650 pricing stated in the is correct then this is incredible pricing. This phone cost... moreThere's actually pretty hefty discounts for many european countries on the official nubia store on aliexpress, I got the 16/512 for 635€ earlier today. I'm sure the phone has many flaws and not everyone likes it, but price-wise they're being extremely competitive.
Why phone manufacturers add and then remove the variable aperture from their phones? Why they have to do such thing? (I know there is virtual aperture but it's not available when you shoot real RAW images.)
If the €650 pricing stated in the is correct then this is incredible pricing. This phone costs more than the Vivo x300 and Xiaomi 17 in China and almost comes for exactly the same price as the China price in Europe after accounting VAT(assuming gsmarena is correct). Much cheaper even than Poco flagships. This has to be commended and i can't really see how it only gets a 4.1 rating in the context of the price. If Vivo, OPPO or Xiaomi launched this in Europe it would be somewhere between €1000-€1100 (probably around the €1100 mark)
And I thought vivo x300 were hot with 50 degrees.
No con for throttling?
Darth Caesium, 11 Nov 2025Even then, I will have my gripes about the telephoto being 70mm focal length instead of the 85... morethe beautiful aperture uplift and macro capabilities more than make up for it imo.
I personally prefer 2.5-3.5x. Any more and it's a bit too zoomed in. 3x is the perfect balance. This has the same aperture as the Vivo X100 Pro, i didnt really see anyone complaining about that phone's telephoto's quality lol unlike the OP13 this has telemacro as well.
Find a good gcam port, have a battery replacement ready and you can use this phone for a whole decade without feeling the need to upgrade.
jiyen235, 11 Nov 2025if their software were just stock android and their update policy were half-decent, this'... moreEven then, I will have my gripes about the telephoto being 70mm focal length instead of the 85mm one they'd been using for ages up until last year.
if their software were just stock android and their update policy were half-decent, this'd have been in the running for phone of the year. Hard to beat value like this.
