Weekly poll: would you buy a Motorola Razr 70, Razr 70+ or Razr 70 Ultra? Which one?

While this year the big news in the Motorola Razr family is the launch of the first book-style foldable, the Razr brand is still very much associated with flip foldables. The company refreshed its offerings with three new models: the Razr 70, Razr 70+ and Razr 70 Ultra. As usual, these will have slightly different names in the US: Razr 2026, Razr+ 2026 and Razr Ultra 2026. Let’s start with the top model.

The Motorola Razr 70 Ultra (aka Razr Ultra 2026) is an iterative update – it uses the same Snapdragon 8 Elite silicon, although it does have the overclocked version (4.47GHz CPU instead of 4.32GHz). Still, this means that it will be a generation behind other 2026 releases.

The new Ultra has the same dimensions as before and uses a 7” 165Hz LTPO panel for the main display – the new panel is a bit brighter and peaks at 5,000 nits (up from 4,500 nits). The 4” cover display (165Hz LTPO) is the same.

The battery also got a small bump and now has 5,000mAh capacity (+300mAh compared to the 2025 model), while charging is the same – for what it’s worth, at 68W wired and 30W wireless, it’s faster than any Samsung, especially the Z Flip.

Motorola Razr 70 Ultra (Moto Razr Ultra 2026)

The cameras seem the same on paper with a 50MP (1/1.56”) sensor in the main, a 50MP ultra-wide and a 50MP selfie camera. However, the main module features a LOFIC sensor – we’ll have to test it to find out how much of a difference it makes.

We know this makes a difference, though – the Motorola Razr Ultra 2026 costs $1,500 in the US. That’s a $200 price hike compared to the launch price of the Ultra 2025. In Europe, the prices are £1,200 / €1,400. What do you think – are you interested in the Razr 70 Ultra / Razr Ultra 2026?

This is a new development – there’s a Motorola Razr 70+ this year (and the corresponding Razr+ 2026). Last year, there was only the Razr+ 2025, i.e. the US model. Don’t get too excited, though, it’s basically the same phone.

There are a few changes and the only one that’s worth mentioning is the jump to 4,500mAh battery capacity (up from 4,000mAh). Charging is the same (45W/15W) and the chipset is the same (Snapdragon 8s Gen 3). The main camera still uses a small 50MP sensor (1/1.95”), while the secondary module was switched to a 50MP ultra-wide, replacing the 2x/47mm telephoto of the 2025 phone.

Motorola Razr 70+ (Moto Razr+ 2026)

In the US, the Motorola Razr+ 2026 will sell for a hefty $1,100 – that’s $100 more than the 2025 Plus. Europeans are looking at £1,000 / €1,150 price tags. Considering the limited changes, can you see yourself buying the Razr 70+, especially considering that most regions didn’t get the 2025 Plus?

The Motorola Razr 70 is the only one of the trio to bring a new chipset – again, don’t get too excited. Alas, the Dimensity 7450X is a mild refresh of the 7400X that the 2025 phone used. There’s a small (+300mAh) bump in battery capacity too, it now totals 4,800mAh (charging is the same as before at 30W/15W).

Motorola Razr 70 (Moto Razr 2026)

This leaves the new ultra-wide camera as the most exciting change for this year’s vanilla phone – it now has a 50MP sensor (up from 13MP), just like the Razr+ and Razr Ultra. Okay, it’s not much, but it’s something.

Motorola plans to ask $800 for the Razr 2026 – this is another $100 price hike compared to the year-old model. In Europe, it’s £800 / €870. Are you planning on spending that much on the Motorola Razr 70?
