Software updates are like a cosmetic changes.
Real innovation comes from prolonged warranty.
Rather will have 10 years of warranty and just 1-2 years of updates than othervise.

It's much easier and economical to make software updates than give warranty services, which is why companies can give longer support than the warranty period

Would love an Ultra with a wooden finish, but the price is just simply insane. Having a foldable phone is more of a sacrifice and a problem waiting to burst than a "plus".
Also at that price point, there are so many better phones and way cheaper too. Could get almost 3 vivo X200Ultras for the same amount of money.

These chips are already on par with a lot of handheld PCs, but they'll only do it while getting PC handheld like battery life. That's not ideal for something you're relying on for communication.

I'd happily take a 5-10% performance boost if it meant 30-40% lower power consumption to get it.

You can get a really good deal on these through you carrier if you're patient. My friend upgrades his phone like twice a year and he's the type of person that constantly breaks his phones.

It's also worth mentioning that Qualcomm chipsets can't support the new Android 16 Linux mode due to 'security', so depending on what you're doing they're not suitable for high end users either.
