Apple iOS Rumors

According to a new report from Bloomberg's Mark Gurman, Apple is currently working on the 2nd-generation iPhone Air, which is likely to debut in the spring of 2027. The 1st-gen iPhone Air, meanwhile, was introduced in September 2025.

The report, citing people familiar with the matter, claims that the next-generation iPhone Air will feature a dual rear camera setup. Unlike its predecessor, the handset is said to add an ultrawide camera alongside the primary sensor. Internally, the device is reportedly codenamed V62.

Gurman says the iPhone Air 2 will retain a design similar to the current model, but is expected to offer improved battery life. It remains unclear whether the gains will come from a larger battery or a more efficient chipset with software optimizations.

The iPhone Air 2 is said to launch alongside the standard iPhone 18 in spring 2027. It is also reported to be powered by Apple's A20 Pro chip, the same processor expected to debut in this year's iPhone 18 Pro models.

Hi. In my opinion, it would be better to keep this model as it is rather than trying to make it resemble the Pro models. Perhaps a version with a 6.3-inch screen could appeal to those who prefer using a slim, compact phone.

Android actually listens to their customer base and delivers. Honor knocked it out of the park in their debut thin and light phone. This iPhone Air will take atleast 4yrs to deliver on all fronts like the Honor.
