These 3 phones have successfully made its own distinct. Mainly is the size. As a safe Player, I would pick the ultra. It will give smooth transition if we are previously used to a classic smartphone. But we should be well concious with the price we have to pay. The price difference will surely be meaningful between the Ultra and the remaining foldable/flip devices. Higher performance that is provided by the Ultra could calm down the bad feeling caused by the extra money spent.

An easy wide Z Fold8 for me. I don't even care about the lack of the telephoto camera, especially since it'd still have the same lousy 10MP 3x zoom camera anyway. The 16:10 outer screen and 4:3 inner screen is more than enough to make it my pick.

Mr. Anonymous, 26 Jul 2026If they ever put the best cameras on a foldable, then I might consider it. Got tired of Samsung Slop after owning from Note 3 to S22. My thoughts are the same after I jumped to Oppo Find X9 Ultra.
Foldables are mid range specs with unjustifiable over the top pricing.

Had a z flip 6, display stopped working after 3 months use, but i've got a replacement and it got greenline after 1.5 years of use, which i've finally managed to sell for 1/6th of price. Im still doubt durability of foldables. Never again!

The wider models from Samsung Fold8 and presumably Apple iPhone require extra dexterity or even longer fingers. Might be an indication of whether Samsung or Apple leadership have the bigger hands...

I stick to my base S25, I lack a money tree for these.
Friend of mine got the Fold 8, 2000 euro here, he got it for under 1100 euro (500 euro off plus tradein for some old iphone he had in his drawer, old work phone).
Not on a carrier contract, just straight from Samsung store.

Well like with every foldable since Royale Flexpai to Z fold 1 to other brands foldables even Apple foldable is a no for me.
Easy reason why.
Make a foldable which can bend fold will not break, scratches and i can easily put best possible screen protector on the market aka Panzer Glass on it without any issues.
Also make it a proper flagship with best possible specs and i am All in.
Othervise i am all dont want a buy, refusing a buy.
Foldables are nichje incomplete products apart good CPU and GPU and useless form factor with worse than bad endurance rating and a below average midranger specs i am not interested.
Better to make a non folding phone of same size with proper flagship specs, flagship camera, battery, charging speeds etc it would make much more snese than making useless below average midranger with a flagship CPU andf GPU like a Poco F1 of the old times.

I’ve used 4 Fold models (Fold 1, 3, 5, 7) and 4 Flip models (Flip 2, 4, 6, 8). 1 Xiaomi (Poco F5), 1 Huawei (was it the P1 Plus?), LG G1 through G8, LG Wing, LG Vu series, Sony Xperia, LG Q series, and the LG Prada.
I've tried all these, but at the end of the day, isn't it either iPhone or Samsung? Or maybe Google Pixel? Especially in Korea, where MST payments are supported, Samsung is unbeatable.
I’ve used the Pixel 1, and I also used the LG-Google collaboration model—it was called the Google Nexus.
I even used an Ericsson back in the day.
When technology changes, it costs a lot of money.
Think carefully about what works for you, my friends.
Personally, I'd like to buy the Fold 8.
As for the Fold 8 Ultra, I can't really tell how it's any different from the 7.
Still, even for Koreans, the price is quite a burden.
The highest price tag was around $720 (998,800 KRW)—that’s pretty wild.

As someone else said, "they always break, sooner or later". I have a 5 year old smartphone after using another smartphone for around 5 years. Guess what would happen if I had a foldable? That's right, I'd have to swap them more often because they'd break sooner than in 5 years! So I don't want a foldable.
