FatShady, 20 Mar 2026crap!!!!!! i didn't even consider that at all.Since Google is unbelievably passionate about this sideloading update, and has already doubled down, The best thing we could do is hope that it doesn't affect old devices, like ones that are running on Android Pie, that would be our best hope.
But we all know that Google prefers to gain as much money as they can over customers, they'll definitely find a way to push this update to as many android phones as they can. Even my Galaxy S7 might be affected by this update

We don't rely on banking apps, there's Phonepe, Google Pay, BHIM, all work without having to turn off developer options.

Non malware but their Premium games section got flooded with IAP-infested games and that the Android team might now be using Gemini to vide code modern android lol.

Nobody has ever sideloaded anything on android ever. Epic did nothing of the short, because sideloading isnt a thing. What they did do is release their installation file which may have had some security issue. It happens. Check your sources. Personal responsibility and all that. Play store apps equally have security vulnerabilities way too often too,
