Can happen with all brands. You must be lucky when buying any device. An expensive pair of earbuds can have many issues but a cheap pair can work fine. Same for laptops. Same for phones. Same for tvs. Same for cars. Same for everything.

They can easily avoid all this; just stop making devices. It's clearly not their forte, be it phones, TV's, doesn't matter. Why bother, when the products aren't up to par, seems like a waste of resources.

Sony smartphones are manufactured by Huaqin Technology, a chineese OEM. This same OEM manufactures Asus smartphones.

Sony has been committing a slow mobile suicide for years now. They are basically on life support. Give it max 3 years. Most of their other units are making a profit, and carrying this sad, loss-making unit that can barely keep up with the market with uninspired and buggy devices.
