You'd think Sony could sell its phones for less, given that it produces its own camera sensors, which apart from the chip, are the most expensive part of a phone.
We haven't seen a new Xperia 10 this year. It's a shame that last year's model had terrible cameras. We also haven't had an Xperia 5 since 2023. Did Sony discontinue that series?
this is last year

That's enough, don't ask cheaper and cheaper, maybe they will sell €1600 for 1 VIII.
I appreciate having a mobile phone that is different from the majority of people, but it is mainly because it is the only Japanese mobile brand in Europe that I have been a fan of these Xperia for years. Besides, since the 80s I have always bought Panasonic/Technics as a priority, otherwise Sony in entertainment electronics. And if one day Sony stops it will calm me down in my annual purchases since I will keep it for a long time, even buying the ultimate twice. I live in Switzerland where it should not be sold (like in Italy) but I am receiving it from France next week in Orchid Purple.
Hanif Fikri, 01 Jun 2025Battery was average so it sucks..Is behind on everything else compared to any other flagship. It has only 3 distinctive features: front speakers (not necessarily something fantastic), a clean display (again, nothing fancy), expendable memory (could be problematic sometimes with SD cards) and audio jack (on others can be used those with type C)
Sony Xperia 1 VII is more expensive than the S25 Ultra and it's also more expensive than most Chinese flagship phones like the Vivo X200 Ultra, the OPPO find X8 Ultra, the Xiaomi 15 Ultra, etc. so yea it doesn't make any sense to buy a Sony Xperia at that price point for what it offers.
1400 is too much for this phone. 999 should have been the price instead
