Anonymous, 22 Jun 2026so motorola kills fast charging on both this phone and G56 and no one does nothing?Exactly, Motorola has the worst support I've ever seen, it's so crazy because they just delete comments in their reddit forum and they just say "verify you are using the original charger" 😐😐 moto g55 is the worst smartphone I've ever had, it's just 8 months old, and for 3 months I couldn't use it correctly cuz the android 15 lag problem, the android 16 gives me the charging problem, and then my battery just swelled up and it hurts my display and now I have a new battery but a very big stain haha 💔

I'm using a new battery cuz the original battery swelled up at 8 months of using this phone, I'm so disappointed, I always took care of it, even sometimes I used the 80% limiter and I always charge it next to a fresh fan 😔. Bad phone after 8 months, very bad phone, now I have a very big stain on the screen cuz battery pressure, and now turbo power works after 3 months without that function just cuz Motorola decided to damage it updating "moto app" through the play store.

This is my worst purchase, my battery swelled up after 8 months, the screen now is damaged cuz the battery, I bought a new battery, but now I have a very big stain in the display. When I updated to Android 15, the 120hz died and my phone turned too much lag. I updated to Android 16 hoping a fix for it, but SURPRISE! TURBO POWER STOP WORKING, and they only said they was working on an June patch, but June patch didn't fix anything! I'm so sad, I regret so much, I should buy Redmi or Samsung, now this motorola looks like a very destroyed smartphone Considering it's only 9 months old, even its box still smells new 💔
I'm tired of Motorola bugs, a lot of problems, updates damage everything and they don't do anything

Very, very low battery life even with background processes killed.
Not recommended.

charging is broken with Android 16 and standard PD chargers and probably multiple devices are affected (e.g. G56)

I'm from Romania and using a Romanian network. My Motorola G55 was bought in the Netherlands and has the Software Channel reteu, which means Retail Europe Software Channel.
Today, 24 May 2026, I received the Android 16 Software Update: Version W1UT36.51-34. The update size is 2.20 GB.

Just tried 3DS emulation on Lemuroid using this phone and I'm actually surprised how smooth it performs despite having a MediaTek processor. There's no lag, long waiting times, no heating issues and no rendering issues whatsoever

It's a good one, I have some bloatware apps like "moto app installer" that install games without ask you first, but you can disable the app. It have a bug where refresh rate is 30 FPS sometimes and it looks slow, even when set to 120Hz, it sometimes has that lag; it's only fixed by turning the screen off and on again or after a few seconds. I think Motorola software is so good, so clean and useful but the software support is so bad, This phone was supposed to launch with Android 15, but they chose Android 14, and the last update will be Android 16, so, their life is so short and unfair. The good thing is that it's cheap, includes a charger and case, and also has a 3.5mm jack. The sound quality is very good.

A version with 12GB of RAM is like 150€. Impressive
i got a motorola g55. it was a nice phone but some bloatware but i can uninstall it. i used it for allot of times now and the battery life is good. nothing bad
