I like the parent–child analogy Tessa. Looking back, I’ve been fortunate to have strong parental role models (including parents-in-law — this will earn me points at home 🙂). Will a constitution truly serve as a parent? I’m not sure...
I’ve come to see “smart” as less about raw intellect and more about emotional maturity and relationships; the technical side evolves over the thousands of hears we humans have been in existence.
AI, in my view, will be technically smart and an extremely useful aid — expanding access to knowledge and helping us navigate complexity.
That said, principles declared publicly are not the same as principles lived. Discipline is proven through practice — ultimately, actions will matter more than words.
