What is the voting process?

01

Proposal Active

A proposal (often a VeChain Improvement Proposal, or VIP) is created and discussed in the community.

02

Understand what is being proposed

If it meets requirements, a whitelisted account (like a node manager or approved submitter) formally publishes it on VeVote.

03

Voting

Eligible node holders cast their votes within the set voting window.

04

Result

Once the vote closes, the outcome (approved, rejected, or no consensus) is recorded on-chain.

05

Proposal gets executed

If approved, the change is implemented—sometimes automatically on-chain, other times through off-chain technical work (like deploying a network upgrade).
