April Fools’ 2026: Trackable socks.

Satechi’s April Fools’ prank this year solves a problem humanity has faced ever since we started wrapping our feet in fabric tubes: missing socks. The FindAll Socks incorporate small Apple Find My-compatible trackers so you can quickly find one or both when they inevitably go missing.

April Fools’ 2026: Stream Deck Plus Lever.

While today’s update adding MCP hooks for AI bots to press virtual Steam Deck buttons is more real than the lever, Elgato is releasing this free Slotius plugin today for “purely entertainment” reasons — you can’t win a jackpot, but you can spin the reels.

The Korg Handytraxx Play finally got me learning to scratch0

A portable turntable is probably the way to go if you’re starting out, but I might choose something cheaper.

Garmin watches now help with birth control.

Not because they’re so ugly, it’s because Garmin wearables that track skin temperature during sleep — like the Fenix 8 and Forerunner 970 — can now feed that data to the FDA-cleared Natural Cycles birth control app to show the wearer’s daily fertility status.

Time to get busy.

Nothing might be the next company to get into AI glasses.

Bloomberg’s Mark Gurman says Nothing plans on launching AI smart glasses during the first half of 2027. The upcoming glasses will reportedly come with built-in cameras, microphones, and speakers, while offloading AI processing to a user’s smartphone and the cloud.

Nomad now offers a Google version of its ultra-thin tracking card.

The original version of the $29 Tracking Card Air was only compatible with Apple’s Find My network. The new version instead supports Google Find Hub for the same price. It’s also still just 1.7mm thick with up to 7 months of battery life that can be extended by dropping the card onto a wireless charger.

Correction, March 31st: An earlier version of this article misstated the battery life of the card. It’s 7 months, not 7 hours.

The AirPods Max 2 are on sale ahead of their official launch.

The black model is once again selling for $20 off on Amazon, dropping the headphones to $529 ahead of their launch on April 1st. We just published our review, and in short, Apple’s latest pair of over-ears are more of an upgrade than a reinvention, with better sound and ANC. They also add several new features courtesy of Apple’s H2 chip, including live translation and adaptive audio.

Bambu won’t help you 3D-print Labubus anymore — other takedowns will surely follow.

Bambu Lab has settled with Pop Mart, Tom’s Hardware writes, days before it’d have to defend hosting 3D Labubu files in a Chinese courtroom. (The company had already taken them down and publicly apologized.) You can probably expect other IP rights holders to pressure Bambu now they know it works: Makerworld is full of print-your-own unofficial merch.

A full port of Prince of Persia is now available for the Flipper Zero.

Nearly four decades after Jordan Mechner’s original Prince of Persia debuted on the Apple II, a new port called Prince Of Arabia is now available for the Flipper Zero. It’s the full game, including fights and traps, and doesn’t require the Zero’s optional Video Game Module unless you want to play on a bigger screen.

Synthesizing some NES nostalgia.

The latest project from Swedish designer Love Hultén is the NES-SY2.0 — a bespoke synthesizer that includes an NES Poly chiptune synth, KeyStep and Flamma FS22 interfaces, and a custom-made MIDI visualizer. And yes, Hultén says the system supports NES game cartridges!
