Samsung Galaxy Z Fold 7 sets in as a successor to last year’s Galaxy Z Fold6 but arrives with significant design improvement that makes it slimmer and more elegant. When unfolded, the new Z Fold7 measures just 4.2mm thick—down from the Fold6’s 5.6mm—while the folded profile has been trimmed from 12.1mm to 8.9mm.
The front when folded is protected by Gorilla Glass Victus Ceramic 2, while the unfolded inner screen remains plastic.
The back panel uses Gorilla Glass Victus 2 and the build is reinforced by an Advanced Armor aluminum frame for improved toughness. It carries an IP48 rating for dust protection against particles over 1mm and water resistance for submersion up to 1.5 meters.
Offered in Blue Shadow, Silver Shadow, Jet Black, and Mint, the Z Fold 7 also supports stylus input and includes modern conveniences like a side-mounted fingerprint scanner, barometer, Circle to Search, and Ultra Wideband (UWB) support.
Productivity features like Samsung DeX for a desktop-like experience are also included on the device for proper multitasking. It retains 15W wireless charging and 4.5W reverse wireless charging.
