Join ULI New Mexico this Thursday March 5th for a behind-the-scenes look and tour of the $73 million Film & Media Training Center at the historic Albuquerque Rail Yards. Led by Central New Mexico Community College in partnership with the City of Albuquerque and the State of New Mexico Economic Development Department, the project transforms the century-old Boiler Shop into a state-of-the-art workforce hub supporting New Mexico’s growing film and digital media industry. Tour highlights include adaptive reuse strategies, preservation of the building’s historic steel structure, and integration of advanced production spaces soundstages, post-production labs, and immersive media environments. This project showcases how catalytic reinvestment in legacy infrastructure can drive workforce development, economic growth, and continued revitalization of Albuquerque’s urban core.
