This is going to be a big one. At Snowflake Dev Day, Peter Steinberger (“ClawFather”), creator of OpenClaw and now at OpenAI, joins Sridhar Ramaswamy for a luminary conversation on what’s next for software in an agent-driven world. From how code gets written to how systems run, this is the shift builders are already starting to feel. If you’re building with AI, you’ll want to be in the room for this one. June 4. San Francisco. • We’re bringing Computer Use to Windows inside the Codex app. Codex can do everything on your Windows machine. It can drive your PC to complete tasks by seeing, clicking and typing in your Windows applications - whether that’s entering data into enterprise applications, QAing your Windows build, or picking a playlist in your Spotify. When Codex is driving your PC, you will be able to see it take every action. You can stop it anytime by just pressing the ESC key. It will ask you before using apps, and you can set up permissions to always allow certain apps. To try it, just install the Computer Use plugin from the Plugins marketplace. You can use @Computer to use it, otherwise Codex will use it whenever it's the right tool for the job.

  • At Boston Children's Hospital, AI is improving how care is delivered, from reducing administrative burden to helping physicians diagnose rare diseases that previously had no answers. With OpenAI, Boston Children’s Chief Innovation Officer and infectious disease epidemiologist John Brownstein built an enterprise AI foundation used across clinical, research and operational teams. The hospital is redesigning workflows in areas like supply chain and surgical scheduling while also advancing rare disease research through AI-powered reasoning that integrates genetic, phenotypic and medical literature data. The results include more than 50,000 hours saved through automation, expanded clinical capacity and more than 40 diagnoses that were previously impossible. Learn more at the link below.

  • Frontier AI can help organizations strengthen biological defense and pandemic preparedness. Today, we’re announcing two steps to accelerate defensive progress in biology: ✅ Launching Rosalind Biodefense to help trusted builders develop new capabilities for biodefense and pandemic preparedness. ✅ Expanding trusted access to GPT-Rosalind for select U.S. government partners supporting critical public health and biodefense missions. As biology advances, organizations need better tools to prevent, detect, and respond to biological threats. Our goal is to build a more robust ecosystem by helping trusted defenders responsibly apply frontier AI to build and operate the defensive systems that protect public health and national security. • Otovo operates across 13 countries, supporting homeowners and businesses when ☀️ solar, generator, and ⚡ EV charging systems need service. Using Codex and the OpenAI API, Otovo built Endurance, an AI-native operating system that unifies customer engagement, dispatch, field operations, technician enablement, and post-service workflows into a single intelligent platform. The impact so far: ✅ 45 min of labor saved per service call through AI-driven dispatch & operational automation ✅ Nearly 40% of customer interactions handled by AI across voice, text, and email ✅ $3M+ in annual SaaS and third-party software costs eliminated through platform consolidation With CEO, John Berger, championing the effort, Otovo is embedding OpenAI into the operating layer, helping teams scale work. And, customers are feeling the impact: faster intake, smarter dispatch, and more responsive support when critical energy equipment needs service. Explore Codex: https://openai.com/codex/

  • Arm just announced that its open-source AI security framework, Metis, uses GPT-5.5-Cyber through OpenAI Daybreak in its internal defensive security workflows. In Arm’s benchmark across 352 firmware and driver evaluation cases, Metis with GPT-5.5-Cyber found 98% of known vulnerabilities, compared with just 6% for traditional SAST tools. A great example of what frontier cyber models can do for defenders: reason across complex codebases, identify critical vulnerabilities, and help security teams respond faster. We’re also now offering vulnerability scans for enterprises using our new Daybreak model. If your team is interested, you can apply here: https://lnkd.in/gHbjQEmK

You ask an agent to summarize your emails. It decides, on its own, to post that summary to Slack. It thought it was being helpful but the emails were sensitive. This is what Fotios (Fotis) Chantzis, Agent Security Lead at OpenAI, calls opportunistic tool invocation. An agent that isn't malicious, isn't compromised, just drifts beyond what you intended. And it's one of the hardest problems to govern, because the agent wasn't wrong about the task. It was wrong about the scope. The fix isn't just better prompts. It's authorization models that can enforce intent at the action level, not just at the start of a task. Fotis and Jeff Malnick, VP of Engineering, Developer and AI at 1Password, go deep on how to think about this on Episode 1 of Zero-Shot Learning with 1Password CTO Nancy Wang.
