🛫 Air traffic in Europe keeps growing, with a new traffic record of close to 38,000 daily flights this past summer. And when sharing the sky with this amount of traffic, seamless air traffic management will remain essential for aircraft to fly safely & efficiently across Europe. ⛖ To oversee the implementation of the European Air Traffic Management Network and the tasks of the Network Manager, the Commission has appointed the Network Management Board (NMB) for 2027 and 2028. Congratulations to the NMB chair Enrique Maurer for his reappointment! The Commission has also appointed the European Aviation Crisis Coordination Cell (EACCC) for this period to ensure effective crisis coordination at Network level. 19,350 people lost their lives on EU roads last year. 📉 The final figures on road fatalities for 2025 have now been confirmed: a 3% decrease from 2024. While we are making clear progress, we must do more to prevent road deaths. 📊 Results continue to vary by country: Sweden and Denmark retained the best safety performances. Estonia and Greece noted the largest decreases in the number of road fatalities compared to 2024: -38% and -22%, respectively. 🎯 Belgium, Bulgaria, Denmark, Poland and Romania are confirmed to be on track to meet the 50% reduction target. These figures remain an important reminder that collective efforts must be increased, as the majority of Member States are still not on track to meet our goal of halving road deaths and serious injuries by 2030. 🔗 See how your country is doing: https://lnkd.in/eki57Eda Explore the numbers in more detail ⬇️ #RoadSafety #VisionZero
