  • Have you ever wondered who trains the police and how?   The European Commission has just published a new study on law enforcement training — the first EU-wide overview since 2013.   The study maps the law enforcement training landscape across three different levels: 💠 national – around 507 training programmes;  💠 regional – around 104 training programmes (involving two or more EU countries);  💠 EU – around 258 training programmes.    It shows that only 20% of operational authorities consider current EU training sufficient, while around 170,000 law enforcement officials across the EU still need training.   The study also underlines the importance of EU-level training in: 💠 filling gaps where national training capacities are limited, 💠 strengthening cross-border cooperation, 💠 providing expertise on EU tools and systems, such as the Schengen Information System or the Entry-Exit System. In this context, the study highlights the potential of European Union Agency for Law Enforcement Training (CEPOL), placing it at the centre of coordination within the EU law enforcement training community. 🔗 Find out more: https://lnkd.in/eNcG-sVN

  • Love moves freely. So do you, in the EU. EU citizens have the right to move and live freely across EU countries, with certain conditions depending on your situation. That means your next date doesn’t have to be in your city. Your next chapter doesn’t even have to be in your country. Learn more about free movement in the EU ↓

  • Sanctions only work when they are enforced. And violations punished.   EU Member States have frozen billions of euros in private assets belonging to sanctioned Russian and Belarusian individuals and companies.   But effective enforcement also means tackling sanctions violations and preventing circumvention.   Today, Commissioner Michael McGrath joined the EU Freeze and Seize Task Force to reinforce this message and called for stronger cooperation and criminal enforcement across the EU and with our international partners.   By making sanctions harder to evade, we help limit Russia's ability to sustain its war of aggression against Ukraine.   Our support for Ukraine continues.   🔗Learn more about how the EU is enforcing sanctions against Russia ↓

  • Carefully choosing toys and childcare products matters to keep your children safe. Yet some products used by children pose choking or strangulation risks due to detachable small parts or too long cords. If you come across a dangerous product, report it via the Consumer Safety Gateway. Together, we can keep our children safe. Check. Spot. Report. 🔗 Find out more in the first comment ↓ 📹: AI-modified
