📣 Zenix Aerospace Thailand Hosts British Embassy Bangkok, BCCT & Matt Western MP for EEC Roundtable Breakfast Meeting This week, Zenix Aerospace Thailand had the pleasure of hosting the British Embassy Bangkok, the British Chamber of Commerce Thailand (BCCT), and Matt Western MP, who joined the delegation for an insightful Roundtable Breakfast Meeting at our facility. The discussion focused on how the British Embassy and the UK Department for Business & Trade (DBT) can further support British‑affiliated and Thailand‑based businesses operating within the Eastern Economic Corridor (EEC). Representatives from nine companies representing a broad cross‑section of industries across the EEC shared their perspectives on both the challenges and opportunities shaping the region’s business landscape. A key highlight was an economic update from Ben Morley, Commercial Counsellor for the DBT, who provided the department’s view on Thailand’s current position and its short‑term economic outlook for 2026–2028. Shift from basic science → innovation & technology transfer Significance: 1. Reduces technological dependence on the West 2. Promotes Global South cooperation 3. (FICCI) recently met with ASEAN BAC Philippines Chair Joey Concepcion, DTI Philippines Secretary Cristina Aldeguer-Roque, and Indian Ambassador Shri Harsh Kumar Jain last March 05 to discuss FICCI’s strategic role in the upcoming ASEAN Summit. This meeting reinforces the strong partnership between India, the Philippines, and the ASEAN region. Very glad to share this new ISPI report on #IMEC, the India-Middle East-Europe Economic Corridor, which we are presenting today in #Trieste. Working on this project has been a great opportunity to look at connectivity not just as infrastructure, but as a strategic space linking the Indo-Pacific, the Gulf and Europe, with #Italy and the Mediterranean in a position to play a meaningful role. Co-authored by Dr. Sabyasachi Saha PhD, Associate Professor, RIS; Dr. Pratyush Sharma, PhD, Former Consultant, RIS; Kanishk Rohilla, Research Assistant, RIS; and Syed Arslan Ali, Former Research Assistant, RIS, the paper highlights the progress made at BRICS since India last held its Chairship in 2021. India has maintained a long-term equilibrium and balance in BRICS with respect to its share in economy and trade. Going forward, it is expected that India’s consistent economic performance would favourably support BRICS cooperation. The discussion paper traces specific issues and unique dimensions in detail across major themes viz. multilateralism; economic cooperation and sustainable development; peace and security; institutional development; and people-to-people connect. In the first quarter of 2026, we undertook a range of initiatives, including fruitful discussions with relevant authorities on the Free Trade Agreement, fostering strategic collaboration with Guidance Tamil Nadu to support the expansion of its new manufacturing facility, and actively participating in the IWTMA Annual General Meeting with extensive industry representation. Additionally, Nordex India formed research partnerships with IIT Madras in alignment with sustainability objectives. We attended a high-level meeting with the Indo-German Chamber of Commerce alongside Mr Michael Hasper, the Consul General of Germany in India. The company also initiated connections with the Spanish Economic and Commercial Office in New Delhi and the Embassy of Spain in India to enhance bilateral relations. Our ongoing efforts exemplify a strong, respectful relationship across state government, central government, and consular levels—including academic institutions—centred on collaboration and committed to long-term sustainability and mutual growth.
