ASEAN-BAC Philippines Member George Barcelon emphasized the value of digital integration and artificial intelligence in enhancing not only revenue administration but also regional connectivity. He added that the BIR’s shift toward globally aligned accounting practices signals to neighboring economies that the Philippines is ready to deepen international collaboration and attract greater investment, especially as the Philippines chairs the ASEAN this year. Ambassador of India to the Philippines, H.E. Shri Harsh Kumar Jain underscored the enduring partnership between the two countries. The event also held the induction of FICCI’s Board of Directors for 2026–2028.
