Daniel Bishop, Co-Founder of ThinkData Solutions, Inc., has always believed that talent grows where opportunity exists—through access to quality education, strong mentorship, and meaningful professional networks. While building at ThinkData Solutions, Inc, Daniel began to see a larger challenge: #training alone wasn’t enough to help individuals truly transition into data and technology careers. What people needed was a pathway to apply their skills in real environments while continuing to learn. That realization led to a defining insight: the most powerful way to support individuals, strengthen companies, and grow the data workforce is through apprenticeships that combine education with hands-on experience.

Are you struggling to find talent with the right data skills—or wishing your current team could do more with the tools they already have? At ThinkData, we work with organizations to build talent pipelines through structured training and apprenticeship models. Instead of hoping to find the “perfect hire,” we help you develop them. Our bootcamps are designed to equip individuals with practical, business-ready data skills—and our apprenticeship approach allows you to shape that talent directly within your organization. In many cases, funding options are available to support training and apprenticeship programs, reducing the cost of investing in your workforce. If you're thinking about how to grow your team’s capabilities or build a stronger pipeline of data talent, I’d be glad to connect and talk through what this could look like for your organization. - Robin Hunt

Things no one really tells you about working with real-world data: It’s messy. It’s incomplete. And it rarely gives you clear answers. In college, problems are well-defined and datasets are clean. In reality: You spend more time understanding the problem than solving it. Metrics aren’t always clearly defined. Different people interpret the same data in different ways. And sometimes, there isn’t a single “correct” answer. I used to think working with data was about finding the right solution. Now I realize it’s more about asking the right questions. Still learning this every day, and honestly, that’s the most interesting part. #DataAnalytics #RealWorldLearning #CareerGrowth #InternshipExperience

It's really nice when you work for a company like Equinix and you see how they are continuing to invest in people and in the communities that support the tech industry every day. In recognition of #InternationalDataCenterDay, Equinix announced new global workforce initiatives oriented to provide opportunities, access, and belonging for the next generation of talented and passionate people working in data centers. From introducing young people ages 14 to 18 to future tech careers through the global #PathwaysToTech program, to a new workforce coalition led by the Equinix Foundation and Generation that will expand training and open doors to employment, this work is about meeting people where they are and helping them imagine different possibilities. The expansion of #apprenticeships and the launch of new Learning Labs in Dallas, Paris, and Singapore show a real commitment to learning, growth, and community partnership. As you know, the data center industry is growing quickly, but what matters most is how that growth shows up for the people around us. When we invest in local talent, create pathways into good jobs, and build alongside our communities, everyone moves forward together. Proud to be part of a company that truly understands that. #InternationalDataCenterDay #DataCenterDay #ProudToBeEquinix #WorkforceDevelopment #EquinixFoundation

🎉 It's a big day! Today, Equinix announced the global enterprise launch of Pathways to Tech, a program that educates students ages 14-18 about opportunities in the digital infrastructure industry. Also announced, a groundbreaking coalition of employers and ecosystem partners, including Cisco (thank you Charu Adesnik and Julie Rose), coming together to co-fund data center technician training, led by the Equinix Foundation and our nonprofit partner, Generation (with gratitude to their global founding CEO, Mona Mourshed, and her amazing team). These programs are bold steps toward more equitable access to high‑growth careers, while helping our industry and communities build a more diverse, skilled, and resilient talent pipeline. Shout out to my Pathways to Tech co-lead, Toni H., a true partner and collaborator, my fearless and mighty Foundation team, Cathryn McClellan and Myriah Brady, the incredible team at Platypus Advisors (Caroline Barlerin, Lajuanda M. Asemota, MBA and Kiah Vidyarthi) who made the Pathways to Tech program shine, and so many more! #WorkforceDevelopment #EquinixFoundation #intldatacenterday #ProudToBeEquinix

We often talk about scaling AI infrastructure across APAC in terms of capacity, performance and expansion. But one of the biggest challenges ahead is talent. The systems powering AI rely on highly skilled people, and, across the region, that capability needs to scale just as quickly as demand. That’s why Pathways to Tech, launching globally today on International Data Center Day, matters. It’s about building awareness early and creating clearer, more accessible pathways into these careers. This year in APAC, alongside our ongoing employee engagement work, WeAreEquinix is focused on localising global initiatives like Pathways to Tech. In the end, it’s people who will determine how far, and how fast AI can go.
