I got into crypto 8 years ago because I’m a markets nerd. The idea of building new financial rails at the edge of what’s possible has always fascinated me. That’s why prediction markets click so hard for me. Event contracts aren’t just another product — they’re a whole new asset class. Bigger than crypto alone. If the ambition is to build the next CME, then connecting into TradFi rails is obvious. Kalshi isn’t a “pure crypto” company — and that’s fine. Neither are Robinhood, Stripe, or BlackRock, yet they’ve been some of the biggest on-ramps for crypto adoption this cycle. I’ll be sharing more soon about how we’re taking things on-chain. And let’s be real: even CEXs are off-chain. Binance, Coinbase, Bybit — they’ve done more to bring crypto mainstream than almost anyone. The best founders aren’t purists, they’re pragmatic missionaries. They hold a bold vision but adapt their strategy to reality. Kalshi’s approach proves it — hitting market leadership while opening the door for others like Polymarket, FanDuel/CME, and Crypto.com/Underdog to pursue regulated U.S. CEX models with KYC. I believe the defining fintech companies of this decade will be crypto-powered. They’ll onboard new audiences far beyond today’s crypto-native crowd. Erbor, BVNK, Anchorage Digital , etc 2. Incumbents that adapt fast enough to stay relevant as markets migrate on-chain. Maybe: J.P.
