Aurex has successfully completed the inaugural launch of its fly-along sensor package, SPOCBOT, advancing our ability to collect critical in-flight phenomenology data for future missile defense target missions. Data collection during flight is as much an execution challenge as it is a technology challenge: timing, separation dynamics, survivability, and sensor performance all have to work together in real-world conditions. Launched on November 18, 2025, aboard a Rocket Lab suborbital mission from NASA Wallops Flight Facility, this effort supports the Defense Innovation Unit and the Missile Defense Agency as they advance hypersonic and missile defense technology readiness for the nation. As the Department continues to push for faster test cycles and more relevant data, we’re proud to bring mission-focused execution and flight-proven hardware that helps turn complex concepts into operational capability.
