🔗 Exploring Next-Gen Microreactors and Cybersecurity🔒⚡
The intersection of cybersecurity and advanced energy systems is a critical area of focus as the world transitions to cleaner and more sustainable energy solutions. In a recent MeriTalk article, the author highlights the U.S. Army and Department of Energy's collaborative program "Project Janus," that will deploy next-generation microreactors on a military installation in the next 3 years. These compact, semi-autonomous systems promise to revolutionize energy production, but their reliance on digital systems introduces unique cybersecurity challenges that must be addressed to ensure their safe and reliable operation.
In this context, we'd like to highlight the article, "Cyber Security for Microreactors in Advanced Energy Systems", published in Volume 4 Number 4 of the Cyber Security: A Peer-Reviewed Journal. Co-authored by CI-Discern's James Gibb, alongside esteemed experts from Idaho National Laboratory and other leading institutions, this article provides a comprehensive exploration of the pivotal role cybersecurity plays in the design and deployment of microreactors.
