"Post-Production" can be a bit of a misnomer. Delivery dictates decisions on set. For example: - Checking aspect ratios with test footage - Building on-set LUT(s) - Early VFX asset capture - Verifying compatibility with capture codecs and NLEs - Purchasing drives, vetting post vendors, and firming up your post budget & schedule The list goes on. That's why I always offer to join pre-production calls. Even when things are moving fast and production is the primary focus, it's all interconnected, and planning for delivery early removes a huge amount of downstream stress.
