It seems Adobe is going to finish his animation program - game platform soon but is this the end or the beginning ? Well I don't know, and I don't have the answer, but what I can say is that there are a lot of alternatives or programs (open source) to do the job: Animation : - Krita - Blender (2d/3d) - Open Toonz - Tahoma - Synfig Studio For making games : - Godot Engine - Defold - Etc.... Just complying does not fix the problem and the best to resolve the problem or this problem is to search and look for alternatives.

Indie dev reality: you don’t always get animations “for free.” A lot of 3D assets come with a rig… but no animations, or a set that’s incomplete / hard to reuse. That’s why I built a custom Bone Visualizer in Unity: a small editor tool that helps me inspect and understand the skeleton structure while creating animations and fixing rigs. 🎥 In the video you can see: bones + joints visualization bone name toggles customizable colors / line thickness / joint size quick utilities to spot the root and navigate the hierarchy Result: less time guessing the rig, more time spent on animation + gameplay. 🎮 Behind the scenes of a student game animation workflow We had the pleasure of collaborating with seven talented game development students 🎓 Teodora Veleva, Ilaria Lendaro, Robert Ernstson, Lisa Pörschke, Robert Pelleboer, Patricio Gutierrez, and Jip Verveda, who created the Metroidvania-style game "Filter Freak" as part of a semester-long project at Saxion University of Applied Sciences. Using Meshcapade, they captured and retargeted character motion and brought it straight into Unity to animate their game characters 🤖✨ All of this without a traditional motion capture setup. Cozy Water Shader in Unity – Custom Shader Practice Recently, I’ve been experimenting with custom shaders in Unity, and I just finished implementing a simple cozy water shader using CG/HLSL. This shader focuses on: Vertex-based wave animation using sine functions Soft color blending for a cozy, stylized water look Subtle shimmer/highlight driven by wave intensity Transparent rendering for a calm, relaxing aesthetic The goal wasn’t realism—but vibe. Something that feels peaceful and fits cozy / casual game environments. This project helped me better understand: Vertex displacement Time-based animation in shaders How small math tweaks can drastically change visual feel Game dev really is that sweet mix of math + art + problem solving, and shaders make that especially clear.
