Technology can be the single biggest driver of mission impact for nonprofits. And Business Central is one of the most powerful ways to unlock it! Business Central gives nonprofits the financial control, transparency, and real-time insight they need to deliver more of their mission, with less friction. This is the shift from a system of record to a system of impact with the advantage of the Microsoft platform. Business Central sits inside the platform stack with copilot, Microsoft 365, Power Platform, Azure, with security, compliance, and governance built in. One connected environment. No fragmentation. Built to scale. And now business central has evolved to the agentic-ERP. 75% of nonprofits are already using AI. But only 10% have moved to agents. This is the leapfrog moment. With Business Central and the Microsoft platform, nonprofits can move straight into agentic workflows, automating finance, compliance, reporting, and operations. From tracking work to actually getting the work done. The opportunity with nonprofits is massive. A $130B+ market, growing fast, and ready for partners to serve it. These are some of the highlights from the “Unlocking the Nonprofit Opportunity” session I delivered at #DirectionsAsia2026, where partners are energised to scale in the nonprofit sector. If you are a partner looking to drive more impact in nonprofits with your Business Central practice, let’s connect! A Moonbird Intel nugget: Are you using Claude Cowork? Most teams using Claude Cowork are using it like a faster chat window, but that's like hiring a project manager and asking them just to take meeting notes. Here's how you can start using it more strategically. Cowork isn't a better chatbot. It's an autonomous agent that works on your computer, in your files, and across your tools while you're doing something else. So: you can describe the outcome that you want, walk away, and can come back to finished work. Here are 3 ways I see organizations leaving time on the table with Claude Cowork: ⚡1. They're not scheduling recurring tasks. Cowork can run on a cadence, like: a weekly report pulled and formatted every Friday morning, or a daily email summary waiting when you open your laptop. Drop your metrics into a template before your Monday meeting. You set it once and it runs without you. Most teams don't know this exists. They're still manually triggering everything. ⚡2. They're using it one person at a time instead of building team workflows. The teams getting the most out of Cowork have figured out that the leverage isn't individual, it's shared. One person builds a workflow for synthesizing donor reports, or compiling research, or triaging inboxes. That workflow becomes a team asset. Cowork now has project-level memory and organization controls, which means you can build something once and hand it to the whole team. Nobody's really doing this yet (!), which means the organizations that figure it out first are going to look very different from the ones that don't. ⚡ 3. They're not connecting it to the tools they already use. Cowork can work through Slack, Google Drive, Gmail, your calendar, without you manually moving anything between them. It finds the fastest path: connector first, browser if needed, your actual screen as a last resort. Most people are still copy-pasting between tabs. And you can give read-only access to your work email. Here's a big shift that changed the way I work: I stopped thinking of AI as something I talk to, and start thinking of it as something I assign work to. And that, friends, is what what Cowork is good at. Subscribe free to Moonbird Intel, the AI Hub for Small Businesses and Nonprofits, for more tips. We’ve helped nonprofits, small businesses, and startups buy tech that actually gets used. The ones that don’t? Same problem every time. They pick a tool before they’re ready. Here’s what I ask before we recommend anything: 1. What are you actually doing right now? Not the spreadsheet version. How does it really work? Because if you can’t explain it, software won’t fix it. 2. Who’s going to run this thing? Pick a person. Not a team. A person. If you don’t have that name yet, you’re not ready. 3. How do you know it’s working in 90 days? Give me a number. “Faster donor reports.” “Client data in one place.” Not “people will use it.” 4. What happened to the last tool you tried? This one tells me everything. Most orgs have dead software collecting dust. I need to know why before we try again. 5. Can you give 2 hours a week for a month? This isn’t “we install it and hand it off.” We’re building this together. If that’s not possible, we adjust. The tool doesn’t matter. Readiness does. This is the framework we use at Ella Tech. We’re sharing it because it saves everyone time, including us. → Get the 5-Question Tech Readiness Checklist https://lnkd.in/grwcPH6i
