  • Here's something I've been sitting with lately: If you're a solopreneur, do you need personal guidelines for what goes into AI tools-- not a formal policy, just your own rules? It's easy to assume the guardrails are built in and that the tools handle it, or common sense fills the gap. But your common sense is multitasking to the max when you're moving fast, juggling multiple clients, and just trying to get the draft out on time. For most of us, an AI policy or guidelines can come down to three things: 1️⃣ What AI is actually useful for in our work. 2️⃣ What never goes in (like: client details, confidential context -- and define what that is, anything covered by an NDA) 3️⃣ A quick gut-check before anything goes out. That's it (at least to start). It doesn't have to be complicated or long. It's also worth thinking about your partners and donors. You don't need a formal disclosure, but if they asked how you handle AI in your work, would you have an answer ready? In today's issue of Moonbird Intel, I put together a simple one-page template to help you get started. While it's written for small businesses and nonprofits, t's just as relevant if it's just you. Moonbird Intel is the AI hub for small businesses and nonprofits and the free weekly newsletter helps you integrate AI into your workflows. 📣 Big news! I’m finally launching Moonbird Intel, the AI hub for small businesses and nonprofits. Where this is rooted: I went looking for AI resources my clients could use for their small businesses and nonprofits. And what I found was >>BLEAK!<<   Most was written for companies with huge budgets, IT departments, change management teams, or in breathlessly fast jargon (disclaimer: after 15 years in digital transformation, I'm professionally proficient). I asked more small biz owners and nonprofit directors…and almost everyone said the same thing: they were dabbling with AI, but not really sure where to start. ⚡ So I built what I wished existed: Moonbird Intel. It’s a practical AI Hub for small businesses and nonprofits. It's a free weekly newsletter and each issue... ➡️ Centers on a real business problem (not AI-led 🔨 ) ➡️ Has a prompt you can adapt right now ➡️ Offers actionable next steps It's jargon-free, scans in less than 5 mins, and.... 🇺🇸 🇸🇻 is the first AI newsletter I’ve found in English and Spanish! Here's a peek: yesterday's issue was on setting up an AI sales agent, and the next issue will be on how to create a team of sales agents and connecting them. Subscribe free! I'll be building this out, too, so more to come. In the meantime, let me know the topics you'd like to learn about in the comments! #AIforsmallbusinesses #AI #futureofwork #aifornonprofits

  • Hi! I'm Sarah Romorini. I started Moonbird Intel, the AI Hub for Small Businesses and Nonprofits. When AI started becoming accessible, I kept waiting for someone to explain to my friends, family, and colleagues who were running small businesses and nonprofits and doing it all how to take advantage of it. Nobody did. So...enter Moonbird Intel! Moonbird Intel is a weekly newsletter for nonprofits and small business owners-- trades, home services, independent consultants, anyone running a 1–20 person operation-- who want to use AI on real work, not someday, but this week. No courses, delightfully jargon-free, and with some whimsy. No enterprise stuff retrofitted for people who don't have an IT department. Just one practical idea, one prompt you can copy and use today, and one action that takes under 30 minutes. If you've tried AI once, got something generic back, and figured it wasn't worth your time...this is for you. Let's get started! 👉  www.moonbirdintel.com Free, weekly, under 5 minutes to read.
