Over the years, I have often observed that governance has taken a back seat for associations. There is always a pressing need to attract more members to the door and attendees to the conference. Financial pressures usually prevail when it comes to finding time to improve your association's governance. Whether that is updating policies, bylaws, or educating volunteers on their roles. As we have built quite a few data & information management systems by now, we thought it would be useful to share what we’ve learned, for the benefit of other organisations who grapple with the same needs. Virtually every organisation has a diverse collection of datasets, living in fragmented, siloed source systems.
