See publicationDespite the relative maturity in the high tech industry we still depend on Darwin's "Survival of the fittest" theory. I believe a coach can be a catalyst to increase the odds for each employee to be of the "fittest" species in the corporate jungle. In this article I share stories of two of my clients who totally turned around and became engaged, productive team members within only a few months of our coaching engagement.

Prism is ICF WA(International Coach Federation Washington State) Chapter's signature event. It recognizes and celebrates coaching in organizations. Being part of the sponsorship and the marketing team I had the privilege to work with some of the very dedicated members of the chapter. Together we created a very successful event and made great friends and professional connections along the way. The event's Net promoter score was more than 50%.

Titles concentrate influence. They also concentrate risk. When senior leaders bypass scrutiny, excuse conduct, or avoid hard conversations, those choices become norms. Over time, they define what is acceptable. Culture risk is managed by leaders who examine their own patterns, test their assumptions, and intervene early; before behaviors harden into standards. That responsibility sits at the top. You can choose to accept It or not. Reflect on this: Where am I relying on authority instead of judgment? Which decisions would look different if long-term trust were the primary metric? What patterns in my leadership deserve closer scrutiny? #Coachinv #Leadership #Learning #TheMissionIsYours

Are you a 'doing mode' kinda person? I am. Authors Megan Reitz and John Higgins remind us that in today's fast-paced professional world, true strategic thinking, creativity, and well-being come not just from relentless "doing" but from intentionally creating space to pause, reflect, and reset. "How do you make a habit of pausing — without having even less time to tackle your to-do list, losing your job, or derailing your career? Our research and experience suggest the following tactics: 1- Give Yourself Permission First ~ we are often our own worst taskmasters. So, it’s up to you to start by becoming truly open to spacious mode. 2- Train Your Mind to Be More Spacious ~ spacious mode requires response from a mindful place, not reaction 3- Make It Safer ~ try initially to subtly change small habits to shift into spacious mode in such a way that you don’t trigger your supervisor or others to question what you’re doing 4- Keep Good Company ~ spend more time with people and groups that can help you reflect and expand your perceptions 5- A Call to Pause ~ pausing can seem like a luxury — but it’s not. It’s a different, critical kind of work, one that allows us to attend to one another and the world around us."
