Kristi Giacco shared thisCan’t wait for June 10th to head to Austin again. I always leave these events energized with ideas, new friendships, and ambition to be better 🙌 I believe investing in yourself to be better with a group of amazing people is necessary for true growth If you don’t belong to a professional leadership network you should because it’s the best investment you will ever make!

Kristi Giacco shared thisWhat you don’t always see behind the titles, meetings, deadlines, and accomplishments are the two people who mean the most to me. We have been through so much together and through it all we are still closer than ever 💕 These two have seen the long days, the setbacks, the pivots, the moments I questioned myself, and the determination it took to keep going anyway. Being their mom will always be my greatest accomplishment. Happy Mother’s Day to all the incredible moms out there doing their best every single day. 💙

Kristi Giacco shared thisWhat you see in this picture is a historic moment, what you don’t see… – The setbacks – The self doubt and fear – The days she questioned everything – The moments she wanted to quit – The path she never originally planned Success rarely follows the script we write for ourselves early in our careers. Cherie didn’t set out to become a trainer. She pivoted. She adapted. She kept going when it would’ve been easier to stop. That’s the part of success we don’t talk about enough. Careers are built in the hard days. In the resilience no one applauds. In the decision to keep showing up anyway. If you’re in a season that feels uncertain or off track, I want to remind you to keep going. The pivot might be the path. Kristi Giacco shared thisHappy Easter! Appreciated this morning with my kids and our Easter traditions opening baskets and heading to church together. These are the moments that I cherish most as a working mom. When we all slow down, unplug, and just be present, it reminds me what truly matters. In the middle of busy schedules and everything we’re chasing, these moments ground me. They’re the WHY behind everything I do. Success isn’t just measured in what we accomplish, but in the moments we don’t miss. Wishing everyone that celebrates Easter a meaningful and joy-filled day 🐣

Kristi Giacco shared thisThe universe works in mysterious ways as this video posted on the day this week that I received really hard unexpected personal news while recovering from surgery. I needed to rewatch my own video and remind myself brighter days are coming. This conversation with Cal Fussman captured a moment in my life I’ll never forget. One where I didn’t have it all together… and didn’t pretend to. What stood out most wasn’t the challenge, it was the people who showed up for me through it. CREW has been that for me in ways I can’t fully put into words. This is what a real network looks like. 🤍 Thank you for this opportunity Adam and Andy 🤗Kristi Giacco shared thisShe was going through one of the darkest moments of her life. And CREW rallied around her around her in a way no workplace could. Because at work, sharing struggles as a senior leader, as a woman, can feel like professional quicksand. You're supposed to have it all together. Do it all. Be it all. CREW has become the place where Founding Member, Kristi Giacco, could finally take that armor off. Just as the community shows up for members personally, they show up professionally too. In today's job market, your resume alone won't get you there. Applicant tracking systems have made it nearly impossible. So again, Kristi leans on her CREW network. In the last month alone, 5–6 members have gotten her resume directly to hiring leaders and recruiters for jobs she actually wants. 100% of the people she's reached out to in CREW have come through. Every single time. This is what a real network looks like. One that holds you up when life gets hard and opens doors when your career needs it most.

As I was reflecting on vacation at the beach in this picture I was thinking of so many moments recently where these come to mean so much more. Transitions, whether in leadership, roles, or companies have a way of revealing just how true that can be. When facts are missing, narratives can fill the space. Assumptions get made. Stories get created. And sometimes those stories travel faster than the truth. But one thing I’ve always tried to instill in the teams I’ve led and my children is this: 𝐘𝐨𝐮𝐫 𝐥𝐞𝐠𝐚𝐜𝐲 𝐦𝐚𝐭𝐭𝐞𝐫𝐬. One day we will all walk away from a role, a title, or a company. When that day comes, the only thing truly left behind is the impact you had on people and the way you showed up as a leader. 𝐃𝐢𝐝 𝐲𝐨𝐮 𝐭𝐫𝐞𝐚𝐭 𝐩𝐞𝐨𝐩𝐥𝐞 𝐰𝐢𝐭𝐡 𝐫𝐞𝐬𝐩𝐞𝐜𝐭? 𝐃𝐢𝐝 𝐲𝐨𝐮 𝐝𝐨 𝐭𝐡𝐢𝐧𝐠𝐬 𝐭𝐡𝐞 𝐫𝐢𝐠𝐡𝐭 𝐰𝐚𝐲..𝐞𝐯𝐞𝐧 𝐰𝐡𝐞𝐧 𝐢𝐭 𝐰𝐚𝐬 𝐡𝐚𝐫𝐝? Because at the end of the day, leadership isn’t about winning at all costs. It’s about being able to lay your head down at night knowing 𝐲𝐨𝐮 𝐰𝐨𝐧 𝐭𝐡𝐞 𝐫𝐢𝐠𝐡𝐭 𝐰𝐚𝐲. Titles change. Companies change. Roles evolve. 𝐁𝐮𝐭 𝐭𝐡𝐞 𝐥𝐞𝐠𝐚𝐜𝐲 𝐲𝐨𝐮 𝐥𝐞𝐚𝐯𝐞 𝐛𝐞𝐡𝐢𝐧𝐝 𝐰𝐢𝐭𝐡 𝐩𝐞𝐨𝐩𝐥𝐞, 𝐭𝐡𝐚𝐭’𝐬 𝐰𝐡𝐚𝐭 𝐥𝐚𝐬𝐭𝐬.

Kristi Giacco shared this𝐈𝐧 𝐭𝐡𝐞 𝐞𝐧𝐝, 𝐭𝐡𝐞 𝐦𝐨𝐬𝐭 𝐩𝐨𝐰𝐞𝐫𝐟𝐮𝐥 𝐭𝐡𝐢𝐧𝐠 𝐚 𝐥𝐞𝐚𝐝𝐞𝐫 𝐜𝐚𝐧 𝐛𝐮𝐢𝐥𝐝… 𝐢𝐬𝐧’𝐭 𝐚 𝐜𝐨𝐦𝐩𝐚𝐧𝐲. 𝐈𝐭’𝐬 𝐩𝐞𝐨𝐩𝐥𝐞. No matter your title, role, or level in a company… you cannot succeed without your people. This past week at CREW was simply incredible. Honestly, it’s hard to even put into words. The speakers were mind-blowing. Listening to Kat Cole share her story stopped me in my tracks. The moment she mentioned Cinnabon, I immediately remembered her from Undercover Boss. Her grit, resilience, and relentless work ethic hit close to home. Her story reminded me how powerful determination can be when you refuse to give up on yourself. Then hearing the founder Chris Burton of Shazam talk about the countless “no’s” before success… it was the ultimate reminder that breakthroughs often come after the moments when most people would have quit. And hearing Riaz Meghji speak about connection and human potential was a powerful reminder that the most meaningful success we experience in life comes through the impact we have on others. But what made this experience truly special wasn’t just the speakers. It was the people. Watching fellow CREW members share their journeys, their companies, their challenges, and their hearts was incredibly inspiring. The networking felt less like networking and more like a reunion. Conversations picked up where they left off. People checked in on each other. There was genuine support everywhere you turned. And the interview with Cal Fussman was unforgettable. A master of asking the questions that make you pause and think differently. What struck me most is how powerful it is when leaders stop long enough to invest in themselves and in each other. I left with pages of notes. Ideas already turning into action. Reminders about the kind of leader I want to continue to be. Because I’ve worked for both kinds of leaders. The ones who lead with fear. The ones who talk down to their people. The ones who believe authority equals leadership. And I’ve learned something important: The best leaders don’t create fear. They create belief. They lift people up. They empower them. They remind them what they’re capable of. Events like CREW remind you that leadership isn’t about titles. It’s about the people who stand beside you on the journey. And I’m incredibly grateful to be surrounded by so many inspiring ones.

The storyteller who has sat across from icons like: Muhammad Ali, Mikhail Gorbachev, Kobe Bryant, Serena Williams, Robert De Niro, Al Pacino, Richard Branson, Jeff Bezos, Jimmy Carter, Magic Johnson, and countless others who have shaped history, culture, sports, and business. Can you believe I was interviewed by the legendary Cal Fussman 😱 I’m still pinching myself and so thankful to CREW for this opportunity! To be on the other side of the questions from someone who has mastered the art of listening a true legend was surreal. What makes Cal extraordinary isn’t just who he’s interviewed. It’s how he listens. He leans in. He creates space. He asks questions that make you pause and think deeper. He truly is one of a kind! Sitting across from someone whose life’s work is honoring other people’s stories felt like both a privilege and a responsibility. Over the last few years, I’ve watched him grow tremendously, not just academically, but as a person. Confident, driven, and ready for what’s next. As a mom, there’s something really special about watching your child step into a season they once felt uncertain about and seeing it become one of the greatest chapters of their life. Excited to cheer him on in this next chapter and watch him soar out in this world. 🧡💙🐊

We also recognize that Mother’s Day can hold many different emotions and experiences for people. Today is simply a moment to honor the women who shape, support, mentor, and care for others in countless ways. Happy Mother’s Day to all the incredible women in our community. 💙

Kristi Giacco reacted on thisKristi Giacco reacted on thisThis Mother’s Day, I’m sharing a photo of my daughter at my office. One of many times I brought her into my world, deliberately and with purpose. I started my corporate career at 17. Decades later, I’m still here, in boardrooms, navigating strategy and leadership. And through all of it, well at least the last 21 years, I’ve been a mother first. I didn’t arrive at that conviction alone. My mother gave me the foundations of loyalty, integrity, work ethic, and role modeled serving others before yourself. She shaped the leader I became long before I ever sat in a meeting room. My mother-in-law was a force at the centre of everything and she showed me that the most enduring leadership happens at home. I was shaped by strong women. I can only hope I’ve been one for my daughter. I brought my daughter into my world because I wanted her to understand it. To see that a career is a choice made with intention, not by default. And that my choosing it didn’t mean choosing against her. She grew up knowing what I did, why I did it, and that it was never more important than she was. It wasn’t always graceful. There were hard trade-offs, missed moments, and days I questioned whether I was getting the balance right. I kept coming back to one belief: it’s compromise, not sacrifice. And that distinction matters. She’s 21 this year. Talented, kind, courageous and charting her own path in communications and as a musician. Whatever role I played in who she’s becoming, I’m proud of. Not because I ‘did it all’, but because I never lost sight of what mattered most. And what matters, is this. Women seeing that it is ok to be a mother first. That the tension and the joy can coexist. That ambition and love are not in competition. To every woman carrying both right now, the journey is worth it. - Happy Mothers Day 🤍

North Carolina’s Medicaid Work Requirement: Implementation Matters North Carolina is facing a tight timeline to implement a new federal Medicaid work requirement, with state officials warning of significant staffing, funding, and technology challenges. The HR.1 policy will require many Medicaid expansion enrollees to verify work, school, or volunteer activity every six months. This adds a new layer of complexity to the existing eligibility system. Implementations for the new HR.1 Medicaid policy are required to be in effect by January 1, 2027. North Carolina recently implemented Medicaid expansion in 2023 which allowed 700,000 more people to be eligible for Medicaid coverage. While the state has social service execution platforms like NC Fast and other automated data sources to verify income, residency and citizenship, state leaders say the increase in eligibility frequency will require a massive operational upgrade. Counties, which will handle much of the day-to-day administration, are already managing workforce shortages and backlogs. Balanced-budget requirements that have to be passed by July 2026 limit their flexibility to reallocate funds or absorb new costs. The funding picture remains uncertain. Administrative costs are expected to rise into the millions each quarter, yet traditional funding sources tied to Medicaid expansion are shrinking. Lawmakers and agency leaders are weighing options, but decisions will need to come quickly for the state to stay on schedule with HR.1 implementation requirements. An extended deadline for implementation has not been permitted at this time. For organizations like HealthTech 4 Medicaid (HT4M), this moment underscores the growing importance of scalable eligibility systems, reliable data integration, and tools that reduce administrative friction for agencies and beneficiaries alike. As Medicaid programs evolve, technology and operational support will play a central role in determining whether new requirements function as intended. Sales Math Matters One of the most impactful interview questions for a first-time sales leader is this: “At year’s end, one rep has a 30% close rate—the best on the team. Another has 15%, middle of the pack. Who sold more business?” Most people answer too quickly. But the real takeaway isn’t the answer, it’s the lesson: sales leadership is both science and art. Taxation Tuesday: NC Small business owners today's budget news deserves your attention! Governor Josh Stein unveiled his $35.24 billion budget proposal this morning, and buried inside it is a decision that directly affects what you'll pay in taxes. Stein is calling for a pause on planned for both the corporate and individual income tax rates. Here's what that means practically: if the pause holds, the tax relief many NC business owners were anticipating in the next two fiscal years may not materialize on schedule. That changes your planning assumptions, especially if you were counting on lower rates when projecting cash flow or making investment decisions. The budget does include targeted tax relief for working families, increased personal income tax deductions, or a commitment to keeping North Carolina's overall tax burden among the lowest in the country. North Carolina is the only state in the country that finished 2025 without a new budget. Nothing is final, what's proposed today shapes what's possible tomorrow. Your actionable takeaway: Talk to your CPA this week about how a potential pause in NC income tax cuts could affect your 2026 and 2027 projections. Don't wait for the final vote to start adjusting your plan. #TaxationTuesday #NorthCarolina #SmallBusiness #TaxStrategy #NCBusiness #HME #Tax #Consulting https://lnkd.in/eB_8yemh

I just read 80+ anonymous distributor sales confessions. And they explain exactly how the front line is feeling. Every year, one of my favorite Instagram accounts invites distributor salespeople to anonymously "air their grievances." It's a safe haven for them to bear their souls - anonymously. https://lnkd.in/ednfwDS4 But you have to be quick, because these grievances are posted as Stories and are only visible for 24 hours. I collected more than 80 of those comments and analyzed them like data. Here’s what the field is really telling us: • Compensation isn’t trusted. Moving goalposts, mid-year changes, impossible incentives. • Portfolio bloat has destroyed focus. Being asked to sell everything with equal urgency means nothing actually matters. • Busywork has replaced selling. CRM updates that no one believes are read. Meetings about meetings. Ride-withs tht feel like surveillance. Salespeople don't resent accountability - they resent performance activity that produces zero results. • Leadership is seen as disconnected. "The people making decisions no longer understand what this job actually looks like." • Pressure is high, meaning is low. Everything is urgent. Nothing is explained. Support is implied but rarely delivered. • Professional pride is eroding. Salespeople don't feel respected. They're not listened to. They don't feel like craftsmen anymore - just quota-carrying order takers. Different companies and different states, but the same recurring themes. The key learning here is that the distributor sales force isn’t the problem; the system is. And the system is producing exactly the behavior it’s designed to produce — even if leadership claims to want something else. You can’t: – Ask for one thing while rewarding another – Demand accountability while removing trust – Expect passion while stripping the meaning out of the job If you want different behavior, you need a different system. And the people living inside that system are telling you — anonymously, honestly, and clearly — what’s broken. Most leaders just aren’t listening.
