Jigar Thakkar shared thisQuick the Digital Soulmate! Ask Quick about “how is the team doing”, “what questions am I not asking that I should” or “suggest ways for me to enhance my impact and leadership” or “what are some important issues stuck for a while and why” . Presenting Quick to the Sales, Marketing and Partner offsite of Amazon Web Services (AWS) in Philly with Julia White.

Jigar Thakkar shared thisI wrote this blog because the same problem keeps coming up in every conversation I have with business leaders: your team's work is scattered across dozens of tools, and your AI assistant starts from scratch every time you open it. Amazon Quick changes that. If you've ever wished your AI tools actually did the work instead of just answering questions, this is worth five minutes of your time.AWS launches Amazon Quick desktop AI assistant that works across your applications, tools, and dataAWS launches Amazon Quick desktop AI assistant that works across your applications, tools, and data

Jigar Thakkar shared thisThis is how Andy Jassy is using Amazon Quick, love the daily flow of feedback coming our way as well.Jigar Thakkar shared thisThe Quick desktop app is here, and it’s compelling. Connects to your email, calendar, Slack, local files, and several other apps to flag important communications, retrieve and summarize info, make recommendations, send communications, and create agents that do work you used to have to do yourself. Gets smarter and more personalized the more you use it. Been using it a lot recently and is changing how I work. It’s allowing me to use applications like my inbox more like an archive, and Quick as my personalized, prioritized, productivity hub that can multi-task various needs. Still early days, and a lot more coming, but excited for folks to start using it to make the undifferentiated work so much less complicated. https://lnkd.in/gwGTeFzm

Jigar Thakkar shared thisThat's right ✅ ⚡️Jigar Thakkar shared thisEvery decision you make depends on information scattered across a dozen systems like CRM, email, Slack, spreadsheets, dashboards, documents. Most AI tools help you search one app at a time. That's not the problem. The problem is that no single app understands the full picture. Amazon Quick connects your entire work landscape, including Salesforce, Slack, Outlook, SharePoint, databases, and more, and reasons across all of it at once. It doesn't just find answers. It builds deliverables, schedules next steps, and turns insight into action without switching tools. Other AI assistants help one person. Quick makes your whole team smarter. Jigar Thakkar reacted on thisJigar Thakkar reacted on thisThe Journey of a Lifetime: Thank You, Microsoft ❤️ Nearly 28 years ago, I walked into Microsoft as a young engineer. Today, I leave with deep gratitude for the journey of a lifetime. I'm closing my Microsoft chapter with a full heart, one that has shaped my career, my leadership, and my family’s story. It is hard to put into words what Microsoft has meant to me. I joined in July 1998 working on Windows kernel, and file systems. I could not have imagined then the journey that would follow, from Windows, to SQL Server, to Azure Data, to Microsoft Security, and to helping build platforms and products used by customers around the world. Microsoft shaped me as a product leader, an engineer, and a person. It taught me the importance of customer obsession, product vision, technical depth, platform thinking, operational excellence, and leading through moments of profound change. I had the privilege of working on many products that became foundational to the enterprise. But when I look back, what I will remember most is not the products or milestones. It is the People. I'm deeply grateful to the teammates, managers, mentors, partners, and customers who challenged me, trusted me, taught me, and made me better. I have been fortunate to work with extraordinary people who cared deeply about the craft, about customers, and about each other. Many of those relationships have become lifelong friendships. Microsoft has also meant so much to my family. My wife, Prienca, spent ~22 years at Microsoft, and together our family has been connected to this company for nearly 50 years :) Our two daughters have grown up with Microsoft as a constant part of our lives, through the friendships, the community, the stories, and the sense of pride and purpose that came with it. It has been more than a workplace. It has been part of our family’s story. I am especially grateful to Windows, Azure Data and Security teams over the years for the opportunity to contribute to this company’s mission across so many chapters of its evolution. Microsoft has been a place where I grew up professionally, where I learned to lead, where I was given room to take on hard problems, and where I had the privilege of serving customers at a global scale. This is a moment of real gratitude. Gratitude for the opportunity to help build products that matter. Gratitude for what Microsoft has meant to my family, the friendships, community, opportunities, and sense of belonging that shaped our lives far beyond work. Gratitude for my teammates who led from the front lines, made hard changes, adapted to new eras of technology, and kept pushing forward. And, most of all, gratitude to my family for their unwavering support. As I close this chapter, I do so with pride, humility, and affection. I'll always be grateful for my time at Microsoft, and I'll always be cheering for the people and teams who continue to carry the company forward. Thank you, Microsoft 🙏 More to come soon...

All three of them brought their laptops. Just as we were about to head to the pool, they asked: "Can we please dedicate an hour to play with Amazon Quick?" An hour. On vacation. To explore a tool. That's when it hit me. We've built something people genuinely want to use—not because they have to, but because they're excited about it. Even when they're supposed to be unplugging. Jigar Thakkar liked thisJigar Thakkar liked thisJust published a new AWS blog on how Amazon Quick and Snowflake Cortex AI can work together to automate enterprise workflows. The post uses anti-money laundering (AML) alert triage as one example. Earlier in my career, I worked in AML technology and saw how much time analysts spend gathering information before they can make a decision. In this example, Amazon Quick is the experience and automation layer. Quick Flows captures analyst input, sequences the triage workflow, calls Snowflake Cortex Agent through Model Context Protocol (MCP), and returns the investigation context to the analyst in Amazon Quick. Snowflake Cortex Agent investigates using Cortex Analyst and Cortex Search. The broader pattern: Amazon Quick Chat agents + Snowflake Cortex agents = ask, reason, and act across enterprise data Amazon Quick Flows / Automate + Snowflake Cortex AI = automate repeatable workflows across enterprise data Read the blog: https://lnkd.in/gtcwx7nW Co-authors: Nidhi Gupta Vipin Mohan Zahir Gadiwan #AWS #AmazonQuick #Snowflake #CortexAI #AgenticAI #MCP #FinancialServices

Jigar Thakkar liked thisJigar Thakkar liked thisIt's great to see how teams are getting value from Amazon Quick. This is a strong example of how Quick raises the bar on work that might never have been assigned to a team in the first place. Stephen Sopko recently put Amazon Quick through a real stress test by coordinating five days of Taipei logistics across two dozen sessions, eight companies, and six venues. Quick compressed hours of logistics into minutes: catching schedule changes, resolving conflicts, forecasting transit times, and drafting correspondence for review. Stephen shares that this work wouldn't have been assigned to a human because "the coordination tax was simply too high." https://lnkd.in/grFdA3Gh That's the power of Amazon Quick — it looks around corners for you and makes smarter recommendations so your team can focus on the work that continues to move your business forward. If you haven't tried it yet, set it up in minutes and see what changes by end of day. Thanks for sharing, Stephen. https://lnkd.in/gdgFYKnmAgentic AI’s Real Value: Raising the Bar, Not Just the SpeedAgentic AI’s Real Value: Raising the Bar, Not Just the Speed

Jigar Thakkar liked thisJigar Thakkar liked thisI spent my first year of B.Tech thinking I understood production systems. Yesterday at AWS Summit Mumbai at Jio World Convention Centre proved I didn't. I showed up at 7:30 AM. Email said 8:00. Got in early, walked the booths before the crowd arrived. That one decision changed the entire day. Secured second row for the keynotes at 10:00 AM. Sandeep Dutta, President of AWS India & South Asia, opened with something that reframed how I think about scale. AWS helped achieve 20,000 antenna minutes for autonomous satellite docking. Integrated with DigiLocker to deliver 10th and 12th results to 22 million students — 100% success rate. That's not a demo. That's production at a scale most people never think about. Akash Saxena, CTO of JioHotstar, talked about scaling 250+ days of live sports annually on JioHotStart with the help of AWS — from local matches to IPL finals to World Cup. A quote that stayed: "Reliable through every pinch moment — Amazon CloudFront showed up when it mattered most." Jigar Thakkar on agentic AI for business. Amazon Web Services (AWS) x OpenAI session moderated by Jasjeet Singh with Pragya Misra from OpenAI. The breakout rooms. The booths — Datadog, GitLab, Redis, Kong AI Gateway, Anthropic, Postman, CockroachDB, SentinelOne, Palo Alto, and 30 more I'm still processing. The most honest thing I can say: I completed my first year of B.Tech AI/ML building CivicEase with a very limited picture of how production systems actually work. Yesterday filled in gaps that no classroom would have. I also saw something that bothered me. At several booths, crowds pushed in from all sides the moment goodies appeared — no interest in the company, no conversation, just the swag. Some of these companies were doing genuinely interesting work. Most people never found out. Was alone for most of the morning. A friend from the Build with AI Roadshow at IIMA Yash Bhanushali joined later and we finished the day together. Third large-scale event in one month. Fourth is coming before May ends. If you were at AWS Summit yesterday and we didn't connect — send a request. #AWSSummit #BuildWithAI #buildinpublic

Jigar Thakkar liked thisJigar Thakkar liked thisWalked in as a Data Engineer. Walked out rethinking everything. Yesterday, I spent the entire day at the Amazon Web Services (AWS) Summit Mumbai 2026. It was an intense, full day packed with live talks, deep-dive discussions, and interactive demos. It was one of those days where you just keep absorbing information until your brain is full. 🎤 The Keynote hit differently. Hearing Sandeep Dutta (President AWS India and South Asia) speak about #empowering builders to make every idea possible - "from #India, for India, and for the world" - wasn't just motivating, it felt like a clear direction. Samir Kumar (VP & Country Manager, Amazon India) brought the bigger #business vision alive, showing how #cloud has stopped being just infrastructure. It’s pure strategy now. Jigar Thakkar (VP, Agentic AI for Business, Amazon Web Services (AWS)) gave the most eye-opening talk. #Agentic AI isn't a future concept, it’s actively reshaping operations right now. Priti Rathi Gupta (Founder, Lxme) reminded the room that the best technology always solves a real human problem. That stayed with me, especially seeing Lxme's mission to help millions of women build #financial confidence and wealth. To top it off, the conversations around responsible #AI and intelligent systems were incredibly fascinating - honestly, a topic I didn't expect to enjoy as much as I did. But the moment I'll genuinely never forget and the one worth every second of the 10-minute wait to try - was the Amazon Web Services (AWS) Media & Entertainment demo. I walked into a small demo room and gave a quick introduction completely in English. On the live monitors, every single word appeared in Hindi. Real-time. Same meaning, same context, zero lag. I just stood there for a moment taking it all in. That is not a prototype. That is #production-ready AI, working flawlessly right now. My takeaways from the #AWS Summit Mumbai as a #DataEngineer: 🔹Agentic AI isn't a future skill to "plan to learn someday." The gap is opening up right now. 🔹 Data pipelines of tomorrow will be built for AI agents - not just for dashboards and reports. 🔹 India isn't catching up to this wave. India is building it. Days like these remind me why it's so important to step out of your daily routine, listen to some incredible people, and keep learning. Grateful to Amazon Web Services (AWS) for putting together such incredible sessions, conversations, and demos. 👇Were you there too? Drop a comment below. We just shipped multi-node scaling for Amazon Timestream for InfluxDB 3 — clusters can now scale up to 15 nodes with configurable writer/reader and reader- only roles. This was a fun one to work on. The idea is simple: you shouldn't have to re-architect your setup or shard your data across multiple clusters when your workload grows. Create a parameter group with your desired node configuration, apply it, and your cluster scales — traffic get's distributed automatically among nodes on different Availability Zones improving not only capacity but also availability. If you're running time-series workloads on Amazon Timestream for InfluxDB and need to scale reads and writes independently, this is worth a look. https://lnkd.in/gJXedrSQ #AWS #AmazonTimestream #InfluxDB #TimeSeries

As AI agents evolve, A2A communication MCP are redefining how intelligent systems collaborate. But @Teja Kusireddy’s story reveals a hard truth without the right architecture, innovation becomes expensive fast. A simple agent loop spiraled into an $47K bill, exposing a major gap in today’s AI stack: Everyone’s building the skyscraper before laying the foundation. This is the next big wave Agent Architecture the missing layer that will make multi agent systems truly production ready. The future is not just about smarter models. Amazon database folks are all in on Rust. Makes sense to me. The era of using a JVM in infrastructure software was not a good one. I’m happy to say we abandoned that path in my group in the early 2000s and never looked back. The post also debunks the claim that writing serious infrastructure code in a garbage collected language saves cost, and time for developers. “The code was 10x faster than our carefully tuned Kotlin implementation – despite no attempt to make it faster. To put this in perspective, we had spent years incrementally improving the Kotlin version from 2,000 to 3,000 transactions per second (TPS). The Rust version, written by Java developers who were new to the language, clocked 30,000 TPS.” For those of you who are writing databases, analytics engines, distributed systems libraries and other infrastructure in languages like Java or Python … you might be wise to reevaluate. Performance, safety, and long-term development costs all argue against it.

Partners are sitting on revenue influence they could not clearly prove. AWS just launched the Attributed Revenue Dashboard in Partner Central — and it’s more important than it looks at first. It’s AWS sharing how partner impact is measured. We’re moving to 👉 “We helped the customer” and 👉 “We drove $X of AWS consumption across these services” That shift will influence: * Co-sell prioritization * Internal AWS alignment * Marketplace strategy * Field engagement * Simplified operations What partners should actually do next: 1. Get attribution plumbing right (3 options) * Resource tagging tied to your product * User agent instrumentation * Marketplace metering if relevant If this is inaccurate, your influence won’t show up right. 2. Align your GTM to measurable outcomes * Workloads moved * Services activated * Consumption driven 3. Bring attributed revenue into: * QBRs with AWS * Co-sell motions. Planning motions 4. Double down on Marketplace strategy: Attribution is much cleaner when transactions and usage flow through Marketplace. #AWS #CloudPartners #Marketplace #CoSell #CloudGoToMarket #PartnerRevenueMeasurement

Claude Opus 4.7 landed in #Amazon #Bedrock this week. Already finding decade-old security flaws across every major OS that nobody else caught. Let that sink in. Anthropic's most powerful model isn't passing benchmarks. It's actively auditing production systems — and winning. This is the inflection point everyone said was "coming soon." Except the "soon" already happened. Have we actually crossed the line of early production and started doing work that actually mattered at a global scale? A few months back the industry was celebrating production workloads. Now we're celebrating AI Agents fixing human-operated production systems. #AI #AIAgents #WorkloadAutomation #CustomerExperience #AWS #Anthropic #Claude #RingCentral https://lnkd.in/g_n2JTK2

Big news from the Amazon ECS team: managed instances are here! I’m especially excited about this launch—I’ve seen firsthand how much work and thought went into making it a reality. With managed instances, ECS now handles the heavy lifting of managing EC2 infrastructure. You still get all the flexibility of EC2—including the ability to use custom AMIs and fine-tune your environment—but without needing to set up Auto Scaling groups, manage capacity, or worry about instance health checks. It’s a streamlined experience that gets you from zero to running containers much faster. This also makes ECS more accessible for teams who want more control than Fargate offers, but don't have the time or resources to manage their own compute layer. It’s a nice bridge between fully managed and fully self-managed—and a big step toward making container orchestration more approachable for a wider range of teams. What kinds of workloads do you think would benefit most from this new mode? #AmazonECS #AWSContainers #DevOps #CloudComputing

Amazon Web Services (AWS) today announced a series of innovations that make it easier, faster, and more accessible for adopting and scaling AI and agentic systems. Of the many launches our CEO Matt Garman presented here at re:Invent 2025, I'd highlight three: → #FrontierAgents, a new class of fully autonomous, highly scalable AI agents that can work for hours or days without intervention. #Kiro serves as the virtual developer, AWS Security Agent acts as a security consultant, and AWS DevOps Agent operates as an on-call operations team. → #NovaForge, a solution that empowers companies of any size to build their own AI models by combining proprietary data with Amazon Nova-curated datasets. → #AmazonEC2Trainium3UltraServers, a new generation of processors delivering up to 4.4x more computational performance, 4x greater energy efficiency, and nearly 4x more memory bandwidth. And here's the kicker: we are already working on Trainium4. Today's announcements also include the largest expansion of new models to date in Amazon Bedrock's history, with the arrival of Google’s Gemma 3, MiniMax’s M2, NVIDIA’s Nemotron, OpenAI’s GPT OSS Safeguard, etc. Plus, we launched new Bedrock AgentCore capabilities, Nova 2 models, AWS AI Factories, AWS Security Hub, Database Savings Plans—a flexible pricing model that cuts costs by up to 35%—and more. These aren't just incremental improvements; they represent a phase shift in how we develop technology. It's the beginning of a new innovation cycle that will further accelerate business transformation and democratize access to cutting-edge AI for companies of all sizes around the world and, of course, in Latin America! The 2025 Dora Report on AI-assisted development AI accelerates software development, but that acceleration can expose weaknesses downstream. Without robust control systems, like strong automated testing, mature version control practices, and fast feedback loops, an increase in change volume leads to instability.

Big news this week: IBM is acquiring Confluent in an $11B deal. What stands out to me is how clearly it reflects where enterprise AI is headed. Most organizations aren’t held back by a lack of data — they’re held back by the challenge of connecting it, trusting it, and making it usable in real time. Confluent has built one of the strongest platforms for streaming data across an organization, and pairing that with IBM’s AI and automation stack feels like a very practical way to address that gap. A stronger data foundation means AI that can operate with context, accuracy, and speed. It means decisions that reflect what’s happening right now, not last week. And it means simpler, more consistent ways to move data across complex hybrid environments. The market clearly sees the potential as well, with IBM’s stock rising roughly 5 points after the announcement. A good signal that this direction resonates across the board. Very excited to see how this helps clients move from AI experimentation to tangible impact. #IBM #Confluent #AI #DataStreaming #HybridCloud #EnterpriseTech https://lnkd.in/gK65bD3d

The Google Cloud Next '26 Developer Keynote is a must-watch .. using the newly launched Gemini Enterprise Agent Platform, the keynote demonstrates how to build a real-world agentic application for a marathon in Las Vegas. My favorite segments: * Multi-agent system (Planner, Evaluator, and Simulator) utilizing Agent-to-Agent (A2A) protocol and an Agent Registry for discovery and seamless collaboration * Memory & Context: Agents can be made stateful with session management and a memory bank service. Additionally, developers can use Retrieval Augmented Generation (RAG), integrated with AlloyDB and Apache Spark, to provide agents with domain-specific knowledge. * Observability & Debugging: Using Gemini Cloud Assist, developers can perform natural language-based investigations to identify and fix errors, such as storage bottlenecks or latency issues, in real-time. * Security & Governance: Implement a zero-trust security model featuring Agent Gateways and unique agent identities. All code and project materials demonstrated during the keynote have been open-sourced to allow developers to reproduce the simulation and explore these features hands-on - check it out. https://lnkd.in/gidJCAxM
