We are seeking an inaugural ED, who is an innovative, forward thinking LGBTQ leader for The American LGBTQ+ History Museum, the first museum like it in the world. While we are conducting a national search, ideally, the leader for this role will have some understanding of how to navigate NYC partnerships and NYC fundraising. Could not be prouder of our first child, Sophia Weis, graduating yesterday from the University of San Diego Knauss School of Business. Sophia, you ran circles around anything I was able to accomplish during my undergraduate studies, and your Mom Samantha Weis and I, along with your siblings and grandparents, are incredibly proud of you. A few highlights from your time at USD (certainly not an exhaustive list): -Securing substantial scholarship funding during each of your four years at the University. -Graduating Summa Cum Laude from a very challenging and competitive program. -Completing four paid internships while also working multiple jobs on campus throughout your time at the University. -Securing multiple job opportunities prior to graduation (I’ll let you share more on that when the time is right 😊). -Assisting our family business with business development projects along the way, which has been tremendously valuable to the company. You have set a very high bar for your three younger siblings, and we appreciate it more than you know. We have no doubt you will continue to achieve great things. We love you very much, and never forget that we are always here for you.

It has been an honor to be part of an organization that not only changes lives but saves them, fostering a community of compassion, resilience, and hope. During my time at AIDS/LifeCycle, I had the privilege of partnering with some amazing brands that share the vision of a world free from HIV/AIDS. A heartfelt thank you to Gilead Sciences, Amazon, FedEx, Chevron, United Airlines, Starbucks, Toyota Motor Corporation, Thermo Fisher Scientific, Rivian, and Keck Medicine of USC for your unwavering support. I’m thrilled to announce that I am now joining the Natural History Museum of Los Angeles County, an iconic Los Angeles, as the Director of Corporate Relations. Jason Mannino liked thisAbsolute Brilliance!! Way to go SpotifyJason Mannino liked thisOur employees aren't children. - Spotify Here’s the harsh truth: If you don’t trust your remote team, the problem isn’t them—it’s you. Think remote work is about working from anywhere? Think again. It’s about something far more important. It's about swapping micromanagement with freedom. It's about trusting and empowering your team. Spotify gets it. They get that freedom sparks engagement. And that engaged teams are high-performing teams. If you’re struggling with remote team dynamics, it’s not the concept that’s broken. It’s the execution. 5 ways to build a remote team that thrives: 1️⃣ Set Clear Goals & Expectations → Everyone understands the mission, regardless of location. 2️⃣ Purposeful Communication → Meaningful check-ins over endless notifications. Quality beats quantity. 3️⃣ Flexibility That Respects Individuality → Ditch the rigid 9-to-5 mindset and let people work when they're at their best. 4️⃣ Focus on Trust, Not Oversight → Focus on results, not micromanaging. Trust adults to act like adults. 5️⃣ Master Asynchronous Workflows → Work shouldn’t be dictated by time zones—it should adapt to them. Why should you care? When employees feel trusted → They bring their best. When communication is focused → Teams stay aligned. When flexibility is valued → Productivity skyrockets. Leaders, here's the bottomline: ➢ A high-functioning remote team isn’t optional anymore. ➢ It’s fundamental to success. Remote work isn’t the future—it’s the now. Do you agree or disagree? Jason Mannino liked thisJason Mannino liked this2024 has been full of challenges and self-reflection as I, along with so many, navigated one of the toughest job markets in recent memory (if not history?). It’s been a period of questioning, growth, and learning—particularly as I’ve worked to untangle how much of my self-worth has been tied to my professional identity. It’s been a humbling journey, but I’m proud to say that despite the challenges, I’ve achieved some important milestones: ✨ 1. Joined the Leap Academy. Thanks to the guidance of Ilana Golan, Su Zangara, PCC, ELI-MP, and Jacqui Porter, MBA, CPEC, the Leap program helped me evolve into a better leader and provided unparalleled mental health support. In a year like this, that foundation of personal growth was everything. 🏋️ 2. Became the strongest version of myself—literally. Thank you to Christina Bray for helping me shatter personal records in squats, chest presses, deadlifts, and many more exercises. Who knew I’d be stronger at 42 than I ever was at 22? 💖 3. Found my partner. In a year of uncertainty, one thing was crystal clear—I’m incredibly lucky to have someone who believes in me unconditionally. Zack's support has been my anchor. 🤝 4. Networked like a pro. I connected with hundreds of amazing people over the past year. The kindness, encouragement, and generosity of strangers (now friends) have been inspiring. These connections have certainly reminded me why building relationships is the single most rewarding part of using this platform. 💪 5. Refused to let the job market define me. I’ve kept my head high and my confidence intact. Honestly, without the previous four milestones, I might have opted for a different career path that would’ve left me unhappy. But I’m still here—fighting, growing, and staying optimistic about what’s next. Let’s make 2025 amazing together! #MentalHealth #Leadership #StrengthTraining #Networking #JobSearchJourney

Jason Mannino liked thisJason Mannino liked thisI started the week on Monday by officially accepting a job offer - 249 days, 212 applications, 149 rejections, and 25 total interviews since receiving my layoff notice. It’s a great opportunity about which I will happily share details closer to my start date in January. Alongside the joy and relief, I must acknowledge the arduous nature of this undertaking. I know I was not alone in struggling with the realities of looking for a good job in this economic environment. To me during the many low points of the search, and to anyone struggling right now: I see you. It’s ok to not feel ok. And it can, and does, get better. I received my initial offer verbally mid-day last Friday, while my wife and I were in the final prepping throes to host our extended family Christmas gathering that afternoon. This provided a storybook opportunity to surprise our daughters with some happy news as we toasted the turning of another year. Forgive my choice of party attire - I cannot resist overdoing holiday plaid. My late mother often said, “We can accomplish many things together, but little on our own,” and as usual her insight was keen. I owe so much to so many: family, friends, coworkers from recent jobs and prior career lifetimes, recruiters who provided an opportunity to tell my story, hiring managers who considered me for roles on their team, people on social media who engaged with a post in solidarity… There’s a lesson there – people need each other and need to show they care about others. For my part, I am eager to pay forward all the coffees, lunches, tasty beverages, and acts of support that sustained and inspired me to keep up the work of looking for work over the past eight months. Wherever you are, whatever your status, I wish you and yours the best these holiday seasons can offer.

Jason Mannino liked thisJason Mannino liked thisWrapping up my last workday before Christmas, snow is falling, and I am definitely feeling the spirit! I am incredibly proud of the year we've had at General Dynamics Information Technology -- just a remarkable year all around. And I couldn't be prouder of my team for everything they accomplished this year in support of our mission, our warfighters and all the agencies that provide care to our fellow Americans. I'm going to take a little break from socials till after Christmas and however you choose to celebrate, I offer my kindest blessing. May the warmth of this season surround you, and as the light of hope shines in your heart, may you find peace in the stillness of winter. May the beauty of each moment unfold before you like the gentle whisper of wind through snow covered pine. May you be blessed with the strength to let go--and to embrace new beginnings. As you gather around the hearth of connection, may gratitude and compassion fill your soul, and may the spirit of love guide your journey. Now and always. My best wishes 🙏 💜

📊 Talent Trends: Remote & On‑Site Balance—August 2025 Update 1️⃣ 22 % of the U.S. workforce (≈32 M people) is fully remote, and telework still covers 29 % of all paid workdays. Leading a US staffing agency with 20 recruiters and feeling the squeeze on performance and profits? This is for you. Right now, you’re probably thinking: “My recruiters are drowning, screening 15 hours a week manually.” “Our cost per hire at $4,700 is squeezing margins.” “We need to fill 5-6 hires per recruiter monthly, but turnover and inefficiencies drag us down.” “How can AI help without just adding more complexity?” Let’s look at a real-world scenario: 20 recruiters 5 hires per recruiter each month (typical benchmark) Total hires/year = 20 × 5 × 12 = 1,200 Before AI: Recruiters spend 15 hours/week on screening and outreach Average fully loaded recruiter cost: $28/hour Cost per hire: $4,700 Turnover cost per hire: $16,000 Turnover rate: 25% After AI adoption: Screening time reduces to 5 hours/week (saving 10 hours per recruiter) Cost per hire drops to $3,800 due to automation Turnover cost improves by 10% due to better-quality hires Staffing capacity increases by 20%, bumping monthly hires per recruiter from 5 to 6 Refer the table in the image to see the RoI benefit What this means for your agency: Saving 10 hours/week per recruiter means your team can focus on client closings or strategic growth, not manual slog. Lowering cost per hire by $900 across 1,440 hires improves margin by nearly $1.3 million/year, a direct boost to profitability. Cutting turnover costs by 10% saves almost $200K, reducing wasted time and client churn. Increasing productivity by 20% grows your revenue potential without hiring more recruiters. AI is not a gimmick; it’s a serious business lever. We help staffing agencies quickly audit, map process bottlenecks, quantify real ROI, and lay out clear winning strategies. Skip the guesswork and accelerate your journey to a lean, profitable, AI-powered agency. #StaffingAgency #AIRecruiting #ROI #Automation #Growth #StrategicHiring

Phoenix Global Employment Screening

The Cost of Poor Visibility in Background Screening What you can’t see can hurt your hiring strategy. When background screening lacks real-time visibility, small gaps turn into big risks. HR teams chase updates. Hiring managers lose clarity. Candidates experience silence—and confidence drops. Delays grow. Momentum stalls. Poor visibility doesn’t just slow hiring. It increases compliance exposure, creates internal inefficiencies, and quietly damages employer brand perception. In today’s fast-moving talent market, uncertainty is expensive. At Phoenix GES, we help organizations bring clarity and control to the screening process: ✅ Real-time status tracking across every stage ✅ Proactive updates—no follow-ups required ✅ Transparent, structured workflows ✅ Compliance-aligned verification across regions Because informed hiring is confident hiring. 👉 Ready to eliminate blind spots in your screening process? DON’T MISS OUT! 🚨 If your ATS, HRIS, scheduling, or performance tools have “smart” features, AI is already influencing HR decisions—often without anyone calling it “AI.” In California, that can mean real exposure: • decisions you can’t clearly explain • inconsistent documentation across managers • “rubber-stamped” recommendations • privacy and vendor control gaps Today we’re breaking down the practical lawsuit traps and the simple guardrails HR teams can put in place immediately. When identifying candidates, do you cast a wide net, or start narrow and expand? Your answer will say everything about how you run a search. Do you identify every possible candidate and then refine? Or do you begin with a focused set of highly aligned profiles and build outward? Let’s talk about what works in practice. When we run a search, we start narrow by design. Before a single candidate is contacted, we map the market. That means identifying the most relevant competitor organisations, understanding the organisational charts of target companies, and building hypotheses around where likely candidates sit. This kind of mapping brings structure and discipline to a search. That starting point, tier 1 list, is the benchmark. These are the people who most closely match the brief, based on data, insight, and pattern recognition. From there, we widen the search with purpose: 🟣Are there parallel industries with similar structures? 🟣Are there adjacent functions that produce transferable skills? 🟣Are there returning expats or post-acquisition shakeups to consider? By anchoring your search with clarity, everything becomes easier: ✅ You tier candidates more effectively and adapt your messaging accordingly ✅ You prioritise outreach, your best candidates get the personal approach, not a template ✅ You can advise the client with confidence, what you have covered and where there are potential gaps. This helps when the spec needs to flex It’s a method that leading retained search firms have used for years, but now it’s gaining broader traction even in faster-moving or tech-driven environments. Why? Because AI has made it easier than ever to pull together big lists. But identifying who’s right, why they matter, and how to reach them, that still takes judgment. And when you know exactly who your top 10–15 candidates are, you can go all in. Multiple channels. Peer introductions. Personalised follow-up. If they’re not interested, you want to know why because that insight is gold for you and your client. So back to the question: Do you cast a wide net and hope for the best? Or do you start smart, target well, and expand with intent? How do you approach your searches? #ExecutiveSearch #CandidateMapping #SearchStrategy #TalentAcquisition #FlairForTalent

More employers are shifting away from qualification-based hiring, and the reason is simple: credentials don't always equate to high performance. Qualification-based hiring prioritizes degrees, titles, and years of experience, while skills-based recruiting focuses on what candidates can actually do. Skills-based approaches widen the talent pool, reduce bias, and help employers identify candidates who can grow with the role instead of just matching a checklist. It also allows organizations to hire for adjacent skills and train where needed, rather than holding out for a perfect résumé that may never appear. This is especially true when hiring for roles shaped by rapid technology changes, evolving regulations, and new business models. As labor markets normalize, companies that adopt skills-based recruiting are finding it easier to hire efficiently without sacrificing quality. Sparks Group can help you approach hiring more strategically and evaluate candidates successfully: https://bit.ly/4brcOLc

Open positions are visible. But the hidden workload around staffing is often overlooked. 📊 According to Gallup (US), managers spend up to 40% of their time on activities related to talent coordination, clarification, and re-alignment—not actual delivery. 📊 SHRM (US) reports that inconsistent hiring processes contribute significantly to role ambiguity and early disengagement—long before attrition shows up in reports. This is why modern staffing strategies are shifting focus: Not just on filling roles—but on reducing the invisible effort created by fragmented hiring decisions. Recruitment Process Outsourcing (RPO) addresses this by creating shared hiring standards, repeatable decision frameworks, and consistent role interpretation across teams. 👉 Watch the video to understand how reducing invisible workload improves workforce stability—without changing headcount. 🌐 www.tekwissen.com #TekWissen #RPO #StaffingStrategy #WorkforceDesign #TalentOperations #FutureOfWork #HiringSystems

The system blindly evaluates skills and experience against the job requirement, stripping away the variables that lead to bias. By removing the 'human noise' from the initial filter, we ensure that every candidate gets a fair hearing. This dramatically reduces time-to-shortlist while guaranteeing that the candidates who make the cut are there because of what they can do, not who they know

𝗗𝗶𝗴𝗶𝘁𝗮𝗹 𝗗𝗶𝗮𝗹𝗼𝗴𝘂𝗲: Bots, Bias and Resumes This episode explored the growing role of AI in the hiring and recruitment process. Fractional Recruiting vs. Traditional Staffing Agencies: What’s the Difference? The right approach depends on your goals, hiring volume, and internal resources. If you’re focused on rapid placements for short-term needs, a staffing agency may be the right fit. But if you’re building a long-term hiring strategy, want better cultural alignment, and need scalable recruiting support, fractional recruiting offers stronger results with a more cost-effective structure. Find out more about the differences, and advantages, of both approaches in our new blog: https://lnkd.in/gjE2D6bN #HR #HumaniHR

Most staffing submissions answer: “Do they have keywords?” But hiring managers need: Will they perform in this environment? That’s why we use a simple screening scorecard: a. role-aligned evidence (not claims) b. must-have mapping c. red flags + disqualifiers d. interview readiness If you’re hiring in DFW, want to see the scorecard we use in a 15-min calibration? To stand out: - Use a headline that’s more than just your job title—add keywords and value statements. - Fill out the 'About' section with a concise, achievement-focused summary. - Get 3–5 recent recommendations from colleagues or managers. - Regularly share or comment on industry-relevant content to stay active in recruiter searches. A strong LinkedIn profile isn’t just a digital resume—it’s your reputation, visible to the world. How does yours reflect your expertise?
