Ishveen Jolly shared thisGoogle tells me a "Monday Brag" is a trend where people share recent wins to start the week with positivity. So, here’s mine: What do Walmart, BetMGM, and SportRadar have in common? They all launched campaigns this March with our incredible team at OpenSponsorship. Want to know why the best in the business are choosing us to run their athlete and influencer campaigns? Let's chat. And of course a Nano Banana image to visualise the Monday Brag 😇

Ishveen Jolly shared thisThanks for the inclusion Jenni Baker, and thanks to Chris Wilson-Cambata for the great work!Ishveen Jolly shared thisHuge thanks to Jenni Baker and the team at The Drum for featuring our CEO Ishveen Jolly in a recent article: Star power or strategic risk? How to navigate athlete partnerships in the social sports era a) The "Zen in the Venn": Matt Maher (M7 Innovations) perfectly captures the need for finding that sweet spot where brand, athlete, and audience overlap. Without it, you’re just buying reach, not resonance. b) Governance as Strategy: As Ellen Losey Williamson (Rain Agency) and Adam Warner (PepsiCo) point out, "authenticity doesn’t happen by accident." It’s the result of disciplined alignment and having a clear crisis framework in place. c) Data > Gut Feeling: Alignment isn't subjective anymore. Ishveen Jolly (OpenSponsorship) and Bob Lynch(SponsorUnited) highlight that engagement quality and brand affinity signals are now measurable benchmarks. Ishveen Jolly shared this2025 was our best year yet at OpenSponsorship! 4 points below of how we did it. TLDR: we were flexible, we listened to our customers, we focused on making a profit each month, we rewarded the cultural traits we cared about. a) In 2024, we made the tough decision to get rid of our self-service plan. I started OS to be the most democratic & merit based way to do athlete deals, but the NPS scores told us that leaving brands / athletes / agents to their own devices didn't work. We needed to help with the process whether that be picking the right talent, negotiating the best rates, handling the deliverables & content, producing customized ROI reports. FULL-SERVICE was the only answer to delivering real success and thus profitability. b) We offered more then just athlete deals. Our record year included influencers from health & wellness, lifestyle, retailer-specific, financial, celebrities, gamers, comedians, youtubers and many more categories. We also did team deals, podcast deals, and supported on the ground at client events. Becoming a "one-stop shop" for our brand partners allowed us to capture more of the market and build stronger relationships. c) We refocused our engineering team on supporting the Account Management team to deliver success. This meant more internal tools in 2025 than ever before - we became a Meta API partner, we implemented more AI, we built brilliant social listening tools, we optimized invoicing and much more. When our AMs rely on our product, our clients win. d) We got really intentional about evaluating and recognizing the cultural traits that we felt were needed to be a strong performer at OS in 2025. We used internal promotions, personal recognition, and a heavy focus on referrals from our top performers to grow the team. Particularly with the rise of AI and hybrid working, we really took note of how and why some team members thrived. Thanks to our team, clients and investors for an amazing 2025, super excited about what 2026 has in-store!

Ishveen Jolly shared thisThanks so much for having me on Justin Titchenell and Jake Voorhees, and for being such master connectors! Also, love the community you are building. Sports Biz Professionals check it out.Ishveen Jolly shared thisIshveen Jolly of OpenSponsorship is this week’s guest on the Sports Business Leaders Podcast. OpenSponsorship has facilitated more than 18,000 sponsorship deals, unlocked over $50M in value, and now connects 12,000+ athletes across 160 sports with brands actively looking for partnerships. The platform is often described as the “Airbnb for sponsorships,” and for good reason—it's bringing efficiency, transparency, and scale to a historically fragmented industry. On the podcast, we discuss: ▫️ How Ishveen built a services-enabled, tech-powered model that can scale globally ▫️ The creator boom and why brands are shifting toward all-in-one sponsorship solutions ▫️ What the real path to profitability looks like inside sportstech ▫️ Fundraising lessons, working with investors, and earning the trust of brands and agencies We also explore how OpenSponsorship has expanded beyond traditional athlete deals. They have moved into NIL, influencer partnerships, and creative brand activations across sports and entertainment. This episode is a great listen for founders building marketplaces, athletes and creators navigating the sponsorship landscape, investors in sportstech, and anyone interested in how innovation reshapes legacy industries. Tune in via the link in the comments below ⬇️

Ishveen Jolly reacted on thisIshveen Jolly reacted on thisI lost my father Jose Marcus Cavalcanti De Menezes last night at 12:56 AM to cancer. A Mechanical Engineer with a PhD in Economics, from Tulane, he was a career employee at Inter-American Development Bank in DC. Born in Belem, Para and raised in Recife, Brazil. He taught me about mortality, honesty, hard work, studying, compassion, and how to be a wonderful father and family man. He passed with my Mother, and I, by his side and went straight to Heaven. Our pursuits must be met by honoring those that laid the path for us and never tarnish the reputable names they’ve built. I won’t ever let my father down. See you in Heaven Dad.

Ishveen Jolly reacted on thisIshveen Jolly reacted on thisI would apologise in advance for all my Advertising Week Europe posts but we had such a brilliant week at 180 Studios, our home in London, so I want to give you just a few (thousand) highlights. First of all, thank you to everyone involved in my CMO Experience day from our brilliant partners at Acxiom to our lovely friends at talent agency YMU who brought along Mike Soutar, Ben Shephard and Graham Norton to talk about how to upgrade your personal brand, presenting and storytelling. Thank you also to Brett Bruen and Guto Harri who used their background at The White House and 10 Downing Street to help us navigate the permacrisis, plus getting ahead with the BBC's Traitors and body language expert Adrianne Carter. We always love the fantastic speed mentoring sessions we do with Andre Spence and Global Purpose Enterprise - please everyone sign up to support their app and keep the community growing so we can do this even more. I had a blast on stage with everyone - from Daniel Sturridge to Louise Redknapp, from Alison AI to live podcasting with Rachel Forde and Marco Bertozzi and the wonderful Empower team at Propeller Group. Shout out to TJ Adeshola for crossing the Atlantic to talk culture and sports. Opening the London Stock Exchange is always a highlight of the week. We were thrilled to be joined by the changemakers on our inaugural Great Minds Europe list that we revealed with Fortune during the week. I had more fun than is decently legal at the Vevo showcase with John Newman, dancing on the tables as requested by the venue! Music still brings people together in such a special way. I could also not believe how many of you signed up to start the day with a Strava run. You guys are onto something but sadly my knees are not up to this kind of activity. I was however fully able to integrate into the party at the Greene King pub kindly thrown by our speakers from the pub company to demonstrate just how vital in person gatherings are. (Couldn't agree more.) Also big thanks to Paradise Agency™ who entertained us to finish up the event with the Closing Drinks. The Future is Female awards were another incredible highlight for me - thank you to the support from our partners Empower from Propeller. Congratulations to all our winners on the night and the shortlist. Loved the spine tingling speech from Abi Wright (she/her) about taking up space. Outernet London stepped up so our winners could see their faces projected on London's most incredible screens. Thanks to the amazing brands who brought their products to the party - grace & stella keeping our undereyes looking moisturised; The Wendy's Company bringing the famous Frosties and Fries to the UK; PerfectTed matcha; PROPER SNACKS; Stability AI; Drink Living Things and We Are The Curators. Huge shoutout to Bronac McNeill for all the professional photography (some bad pics here are my unapproved candids from living in the moment).

This initiative holds a special place in my heart, after being shortlisted last year and speaking on the 'Secrets to Success' panel with Ishveen Jolly This program is such an important engine for building confidence and visibility for women in our industry. It was an honour to judge such an incredible pool of talent this year. Congratulations to the finalists and a massive thank you to the team for having me back in a new capacity! Ishveen Jolly reacted on thisIshveen Jolly reacted on thisI have signed on as Head of Brand Growth and Partnerships consultant at Buena Gente Golf, a Latino golf apparel and culture brand building something genuinely important in a sport that has historically left our community out of the conversation. There are 4.5 million Hispanic golfers in the U.S., $4.1 trillion in Latino purchasing power, and no dominant cultural brand in the space yet. Brands are also not speaking authentically to the audience. That is the opportunity. And we are going after it. The reason this one matters to me personally: I have spent my career at the intersection of sports, media, and culture. I know what it looks like when a brand gets the storytelling right. Buena Gente Golf has the foundation, the authenticity, and the audience. In this consulting role, I’ll support the visionary, Jonathan Madera, in shaping the brand, content strategy, creator/ambassador partnerships, and more. To everyone building in the Latino golf and sports culture space, whether you are a creator, a brand, a retailer, or an investor who sees what we see, let’s connect.

Ishveen Jolly reacted on thisIshveen Jolly reacted on thisY’all. I started a role at Shopify on the Employee Communications team last week. Let me tell you, this place is incredible. The people? Brilliant, curious, and actually excited to solve problems. The mission? Helping millions of merchants turn ideas into real businesses. The energy? Imagine a room full of people who care a LOT about the work they do and the impact it has. I went to Toronto to onboard and meet some of the team in person, and honestly… it feels like I’ve joined a machine that runs on passion, collaboration, and great coffee. I'm beyond excited to help connect the dots, share the stories, and support the people behind the platform. 💚

Ishveen Jolly reacted on thisIshveen Jolly reacted on thisI learned some cool things while interviewing Michael Schreiber, Founder & Executive Chairman of Playfly Sports, for the Sports Business Leaders podcast today. A focus of the conversation was the booming sports sponsorship market. We have friends who are building, and have exited, super cool businesses in this space. To name a few: Jack Adler from Out2Win ($1.3M seed raise last year) Ishveen Jolly from OpenSponsorship ($50M transacted across 18K+ deals) Zubin Teherani, exiting LeagueSide, a TeamSnap Company ($10M ARR) During the interview, Mike dropped some amazing insights and I would like to share something that stood out. How much revenue, in sponsorship dollars, are brought in by the big four pro teams, on average, per team? Average sponsor revenue per team: 🏈 NFL: $72M ➡️ (Dallas Cowboys generate ~$250M) ⚾ MLB: $61M 🏀 NBA: $50M 🏒 NHL: $42M Average college revenue? $13M per university. Pretty wild that on average, universities generate 15-20% of a what a NFL team can generate. This sector is nuts, sports business in general. And every single day we see more opportunity, more space for disruption, creative approaches, innovation, etc. If your business is interested in learning more about this market, happy to discuss. 🚀 (Photo credit: gosponsorship)

⚽ Indian Football at a Crossroads AIFF’s RFP for ISL Rights: Balancing Vision, Value & Viability The All India Football Federation’s (AIFF) decision to invite bids for 15-year commercial rights to the Indian Super League (ISL) could reshape Indian football’s future. Alongside, the proposed promotion–relegation, salary cap, and revenue-sharing model signal a shift toward a more competitive and sustainable ecosystem. 🔍 Key Highlights • 15-year rights deal (₹37.5 cr/year or 5% of gross revenue) • Eligibility: ₹250 cr net worth • Promotion–Relegation from 2025–26 • Salary cap retained at ₹18 cr • No franchise fees for new entrants • Parachute payments (30–40%) for relegated clubs • Central revenue pool: 2.5–5% over time. 🌟 Positives 1️⃣ Long-term stability and commercial confidence 2️⃣ Return to sporting merit through promotion–relegation 3️⃣ Parachute payments cushion financial risk 4️⃣ Salary caps ensure fiscal discipline 5️⃣ Central revenue share promotes balanced growth ⚠️ Challenges 1️⃣ Revenue share may limit club growth if earnings stagnate 2️⃣ Static wage cap could restrict competitiveness 3️⃣ Relegation risk in a fragile ecosystem 4️⃣ ₹250 cr entry bar narrows bidder diversity 5️⃣ Stakeholder alignment remains uncertain 🧭 For Success ✅ Transparent governance & inclusive dialogue ✅ Growth in broadcast, digital, and merchandising revenues ✅ Flexible salary structures tied to performance ✅ Strengthened I-League & feeder pathways ✅ Phased transition to new framework 💬 My Take This isn’t just a commercial tender — it’s a governance reset for Indian football. If executed with transparency, collaboration, and realism, it could mark a new era of sustainable, merit-driven growth. But the key will be alignment — between AIFF, clubs, investors, and fans. Without that, even the best structure risks falling short on the pitch. 🔗 Read full article on Sportstar #IndianFootball #AIFF #ISL #SportsGovernance #SportsBusiness #FootballDevelopment #India2047 #LeadershipInSports

Indian Sports Industry 2.0 : The Year ( 2025) Indian Sports Industry Strengthened Its Core—Why #brands should now Plan Long-Term visibility through sports The last 60 days have been historic for Indian sports—transforming its foundation in ways that promise sustainability, global alignment, and brand value for decades ahead. Here’s how recent policy moves have rewritten the industry’s DNA and why brands should see Indian sports as a serious long-term strategy: -National Sports Governance Bill 2025 — Global Standards, Real Transparency For the first time, India has a single legal framework for the governance of all sports. The new National Sports Board & Tribunal ensure ethical, democratic, and athlete-centric administration, with greater transparency (RTI coverage), clear term limits, and fast-track dispute resolution. This enhances trust among fans, athletes, and crucially, sponsors, while aligning India with global sports governance leaders. -Ministry of Sports Now Oversees Manufacturing & Esports The strategic move to shift sports manufacturing and esports from DPIIT to the Ministry of Sports puts product innovation, athlete needs, and new-age digital sports under one focused vision. Expect unified standards, seamless policymaking, and more rapid growth in Make-in-India sports equipment as well as eSports infrastructure. -Online Gaming Ban — A Bold, Protective Step By banning unregulated online gaming and introducing sector-specific oversight, India signals a strict line between harmful tech and healthy, competitive sport. For brands, this means safer investments, smarter partnerships, and a fan base that trusts the system. The next decade’s sports heroes, product stories, and digital movements will be built right here, anchored by strong policy and unified vision. #indiasportsindustry #sports #sportsbiz #india

𝐈𝐧𝐝𝐢𝐚’𝐬 𝐏𝐨𝐭𝐞𝐧𝐭𝐢𝐚𝐥 𝐑𝐮𝐥𝐞 𝐂𝐡𝐚𝐧𝐠𝐞 𝐨𝐧 𝐎𝐂𝐈 𝐀𝐭𝐡𝐥𝐞𝐭𝐞𝐬: 𝐀 𝐆𝐚𝐦𝐞-𝐂𝐡𝐚𝐧𝐠𝐞𝐫 𝐟𝐨𝐫 𝐒𝐩𝐨𝐫𝐭𝐬? 💡India is on the cusp of a significant policy shift that could reshape its sporting landscape. The Sports Ministry is reportedly considering a rethink of the current rule that prevents Overseas Citizens of India (OCI) card holders from representing the country in international sports. This move could have far-reaching implications 💡Football stands to benefit the most. Talented diaspora players like Yan Dhanda, Mal Benning, Brandon Khela, Rohan Luthra, and Dilan Markanday, and others, currently ineligible, could immediately boost India’s football quality and global competitiveness. Their inclusion would bring experience from top leagues and elevate the national team’s performance 💡While football garners much attention, other sports with strong diaspora representation-such as athletics, hockey, tennis, basketball could also see a surge in talent. Many athletes of Indian origin, raised and trained in countries with advanced sporting infrastructure, could bring invaluable expertise and competitiveness to Indian teams 💡𝐖𝐡𝐲 𝐢𝐭 𝐦𝐚𝐭𝐭𝐞𝐫𝐬: ✨Elevates India’s global competitiveness and chances in major tournaments. ✨Attracts more sponsorships, investments, and fan engagement. ✨Boosts domestic leagues and grassroots development. ✨Strengthens ties with the diaspora, enhancing India’s soft power. 💡This policy shift isn’t just about eligibility, it’s a strategic move to unlock global talent, accelerate India’s sporting rise, and drive more money and attention into the ecosystem #Sports #SportsBiz #SportsBusiness #Talent #Development #IndianSports #FootballIndia #SportsPolicy #OCIPlayers #IndianFootball #GlobalTalent #SportsDevelopment #SportsInvestment https://lnkd.in/egGtBTFn

India’s National Sports Policy 2025 India’s new National Sports Policy 2025 is a big step forward for sports in our country. The policy wants to give everyone, from kids in villages to athletes competing for Olympic medals, a better chance to play and grow. The government is constructing additional sports grounds and training centers to ensure that people in all areas have access to quality facilities. Schools and colleges are making sports a part of the regular curriculum, helping children discover their talent early. At the heart of the policy are five key pillars: Infrastructure Expansion – Better stadiums, training centers, and community sports spaces across rural and urban areas. Talent Identification & Development – National scouting programs, top-class coaching, and scholarships to support athletes early. Integration with Education – Making sports part of school and college life, linked with academics. Inclusivity – Equal opportunities for girls, persons with disabilities, tribal communities, and economically weaker groups. Governance and Transparency – Cleaner sports administration, independent audits, and strong accountability. Special focus is given to support athletes with coaching, scholarships, and career opportunities after their playing days. The policy also encourages private companies to partner through investments and CSR funds, making the system stronger. India dreams of hosting big international events, including the Olympics. With the National Sports Policy 2025, the goal is to put India among the world’s leading sports nations. Let’s support this journey and cheer for a healthier, stronger, and more active India! #NationalSportsPolicy #SportsInIndia #KheloIndia #SportsDevelopment #Olympics2036 #SportsForAll #IndiaSports #SportsTransformation

India/Sports Business/Unlit Diya The passion for sports is undeniable, but what’s missing is the ability to convert that passion into a sustainable, scalable business ecosystem. Perhaps the real gap lies in the absence of institutional capital. There are no dedicated sports accelerators, and domain-specific investment literacy remains shallow. Most sports startups in India depend on angel or CSR-style funding, rarely breaking beyond the pilot stage. Equally missing is the Industry–Academia–Sports convergence. While a few universities now offer sports management or technology programs, there’s little integration that translates research and innovation into market-ready ventures. To unlock its sporting potential, the next phase must focus on: 1. Institutional capital for sports ventures 2. Sports business accelerators and venture studios 3. Stronger industry–academia linkages for investible innovation The time has come to move from being a nation of sports fans to a global sports economy. As we celebrate Diwali, may we light the diya that sparks a new era for India’s sports economy — powered by innovation, inclusion, and investment. Dr. SriPadmini Chennapragada #doshub
