Really excited to be sharing this opportunity with my Sydney network. Alignment is my theme for 2026 and this workshop sits right at the centre of that. I'm thrilled to be partnering with two amazing ladies, Cathy Dimarchos and Marcela Acosta who both bring a unique and powerful perspective to the table around conscious decision-making and the collective impact and wisdom of conscious collaboration (among other things). I'm focussing on boundaries in my session because a lack of boundaries is typically one of the obvious symptoms of mis-alignment in someone's life. All too often, I find myself coaching women who are either in severe burnout or on the verge of it and when I dig deeper, I find a common theme of people pleasing and filling everyone else's bucket before their own. When you are really clear on holding boundaries, you protect not only your own energy but how you show up for others. Took a minute to capture this moment with kimberly white-jenkins and Dan Manuel after facilitating Generations at Work—the inaugural course for the International Union, UAW-Chrysler EAP Specialist Recertification Program, hosted by Wayne State University's Office of Partnerships and Workforce Development. EAP Specialists play such an important role—helping UAW members and their families access the support they need to thrive. When we asked what workplace policies benefit all generations, one clear answer emerged: the Family and Medical Leave Act (FMLA). Older workers said they’re grateful younger dads can now take time off to be with their families—something they wish they could’ve done. That’s a generational win: flexibility that supports caring for others and ourselves. A culture where caregiving—whether for a child, a parent, or your own health—isn’t a crisis but a fact of life. 👉 A contrarian's view on bringing your "authentic self" to work: Authenticity was originally meant as freedom to be ourselves without #covering differences or marginalized identities. But I've noticed that authenticity can be co-opted (usually by higher-ups) as permission to do and say whatever. Interested to read Dr Tomas Chamorro-Premuzic's take. Isn't bringing your "best self" to work a more powerful aim? The skills for #fundraising center around resilience, listening, and persuading. Why not integrate persistence, and active listening, into your toolkit. These are great life skills too! 💯

How Mental Toughness is Actually Developed Andreas Stamatis, Ph.D. is a Professor at the University of Louisville and a Mental Performance Specialist at UofL Health, blending sport science, psychology, and leadership to help individuals and organizations thrive under pressure. In this episode, Andreas explores the foundation of mental performance—how it’s developed, why it’s often misunderstood, and what separates sustainable performance from momentary hype. Andreas introduces the “existential positive psychology”, a framework that views adversity as a growth opportunity—but only when it’s relevant. Andreas challenges the idea that mental toughness leads to selfishness. He explains that mental toughness is a personal construct—true strength lies in managing competing demands without losing yourself or others. He also tackles the corporate tendency to overvalue outcomes and undervalue behaviors.
